Final Fantasy
Edit
Temper, called TMPR in the NES release, is a level 2 Black Magic from the original Final Fantasy. It can be bought in Pravoka and can be learned by the Black Mage, Black Wizard, Red Mage, Red Wizard, and Ninja classes. It raises the Attack of an ally by 14. In the GBA/PSP/iOS releases it costs 8 MP to cast.
This spell is bugged in the NES version and does nothing.
Final Fantasy IX
Edit
Might is a White Magic spell that increases an ally's Attack power for the remainder of the battle and can be used several times for a cumulative effect. Only Eiko can cast it, although the enemies Lamia and Iron Giant are capable of casting it as well. The spell is learned from Priest's Racket and Hamelin. It can be reflected and works with Return Magic.
Might is similar in regards to its formula as Vivi's Focus ability, in that once Strength reaches 99 it will not increase further. The formula for Might is as follows.
The effect lasts for the entire battle, even if the character is KO'ed and revived.
Final Fantasy XI
Edit
Temper is an Enhancing Magic spell that is able to be learned by a Red Mage at level 95 or higher. It allows the recipient to occasionally Double Attack.
Final Fantasy Tactics
Edit
Steel, originally called Cheer Up, is an ability of Ramza's and Delita's special version of the Squire job, learned for 200 JP. It increases an ally's Bravery when used, up to three squares away.
