		Guys, I seem to remember from my XII guide that not all of the chests outlined in the article destroy your chance of getting the ZS. I'll check my guide tomorrow and re-do the chests bit.

It doesn't destroy your chances, it just lowers it to 0.1% (Tough I doubt anyone who has a life would try 1000 times to get one weapon, no matter how powerful)

		Just out of curiosity, can you open those chests AFTER finding the spear, or do they just disappear from the game completely?

How is it that Square got it into their heads, that it would be a good idea to have something so completely random as not opening four chests, be the key to obtaining the Ultimate Weapon? I re-started playing Final Fantasy 12 after some years, in my first gameplay i missed the zodiac spear, but now i have the official game guide and i want to obtain this powerful spear...i have a question:

the guide sais that i don't have to open ANY of the chests in Lowtown, ANY of the chests in the Royal Palace, ANY chests in Nalbina Dungeons and ANY of the chests in Phon Coast...so, my question is...i have to avoid ALL of the chests in these locations, or i can open every chest EXCEPT the four chests?

for example in nalbina dungeons there are 3 chests, i have to ignore all of them or i can open the two chests, leaving only the one containing gil?

because the guide is not clear about that, i don't understand if i have to avoid the 4 chests...or the 4 locations (and every chest in all 4 locations), can you please help me?...4 chests or all 4 location's chests? Toto88 14:59, February 24, 2012 (UTC)

Just the one chest is the bad one. So in Nalbina Dungeon you can take the two other chests. Some guides say avoid all of them just so you won't have a chance to make a mistake, but if you know specifically which chest it is, then you can just leave that one alone.Keltainentoukokuu 16:39, February 24, 2012 (UTC)
