Just noticed that Valia Pira is probably a mistranlation of "Barrier Pillar" lol

No it's not. Barrier Pillar's romanji is obviously "Baria . Pira" not "Varia . Pira".
Well, after numerous attempts on various translators, I have come to the conclusion that it roughly means "Varied Pillar" or "Varied Pyre", with Pyre showing up more, oddly. Could also be Varying, I suppose.
I didn't think about the "varied" possibility. That could be!
Barrier Pillar is still a possibility. Since there's no "v" in Japanese you can transliterate the same word as "Baria", "Balia", "Varia" and "Valia". 82.83.79.93 16:25, March 23, 2011 (UTC)
- Yes, there is a "v" sound in Japanese, which is exactly the Katakana used on Varia Pira's name ("ヴァ" is "va", "バ" is "ba"). It's not a native japanese sound, but it exists so they can transliterate foreign words that contain it. So yes, the romanji is Varia Pira, whatever that should mean. 91.117.99.231 11:04, July 8, 2011 (UTC)
- Thus, it's absurd to translate any japanese "V" sound to "B" because, unlike the ambiguous case of "R" and "L", "B" is a native japanese sound and "V" is not. "Varia" will never mean "Barrier". - 17:22, July 8, 2011 (UTC)~
Elemental Vulnerability[]
I thought it was vulnerable to Water. It's been Wind all this time?! --LuvLuvG (talk) 05:07, December 13, 2018 (UTC)
- Hmm other sites also say Wind, but GameFAQs walkthroughs all say to use Water magic. The monster FAQ only says it is weak to Wind, though.Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 11:23, December 13, 2018 (UTC)
- Are Water spell, Leviathan and Aqua Breath just coincidentally the strongest attacks you can use at this point? I think it being weak to Wind and immune to Earth is just because it flies.Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 11:27, December 13, 2018 (UTC)
