usefulness[]

I don't even have th DS remake, and he sounds like possibly the worst playable character in the entire series. If they want him to be more useful shoudn't he have the highest Spirit and Intellect of the entire group plus his MP being off the charts. The reason I say those stats should be higher is due to his old age --UndyingvsSephiroth 14:00, 26 July 2008 (UTC)

well ya..but at least he could cast all the spells--griff 00:05, 29 July 2008 (UTC)

Hey to Bluehighwind, aren't you talking about Meteor, it costs 99 MP, he can learn it yet unable to use it (which is ridiculuous, he's a sage, at least 255 MP should be his limit, something tells me Square has a problem with realism, but then again they wrote it and it's their fantasy). ARISE COSTS 70 MP and his limit is 90 MP, he can cast it, the only problem is the fact he uses 7/9 of his MP and I don't know if his MP can regenerate somehow, but it takes an Ether to make him cast it again (or is it like that with all the characters). --UndyingvsSephiroth 01:04, 29 July 2008 (UTC)

oh...well i guess your screwed then :)--griff 01:17, 29 July 2008 (UTC)

So to end this possibly, Square screws up when balancing characters and abilities especially here with Tellah, most jobs, and offensive magic around the end of the game. --UndyingvsSephiroth 01:45, 29 July 2008 (UTC)

FFIV Protobabil ds

Yeah that might possibly true and a little funny. Speaking of which isn't there an old guy in FF6 that is a playable character and he is a sage. The only reason i know him is because I seen a youtube video of the Kefka final battle and he said something about a child or grandchild, i don't know clear me up without too much spoilers. --UndyingvsSephiroth 02:01, 29 July 2008 (UTC)

Never mind my response. i found out it was Strago, which is a blue mage. One thing I find weird is that Strago is 70 and Tellah is 60, so why does Strago have more energy and MP, and a lottle useful. While Tellah is an absolute downgrade of Fusoya with extremely low MP. Shoudn't Strago have a problem as well. --UndyingvsSephiroth 02:17, 29 July 2008 (UTC)

FFIV Protobabil ds

..our business and this is a wiki (guessing the missing word). Anyone wants to take a shot, I'm not that good at noticing something right away. --UndyingvsSephiroth 02:40, 29 July 2008 (UTC)

FFIV Protobabil ds

Do you mean that sarcastically because on the Sage page it says they usually have low MP because of their specialtize in magic or for the fact saying how should this influence the story. If Square was going to put him in the story and as a playable character, shoudn't he be more useful. Nonetheless, something tells me that talking about his stats are weird because of his age, he should be a big expertise in magic and tons of MP to even himself up with the young guys. Nonetheless, we should end this soon because hell it was the creator's opinion and like you said Meteor could cost him his life. --UndyingvsSephiroth 02:58, 29 July 2008 (UTC)

Once again, yew all hate meh. ;.;[]

Tellah = USEFUL. And there is nothing anyone can do about it. Blue could have done something about it,but since hes gone,no. Tellah IS useful. 10 good reasons why!

1. Tellah can cast every single magic in the game.

2. Have a zillion ethers and you can never worry about Tellah's 90 MP limit.

3. His stats don't go down THAT much!

4. He actually tried to revive Palom (yay!) and Porom, even though it failed..

5. If he didn't blow the crap out of Golbez,we would have to do that PAINFUL fight against Golbez... AGAIN.

6. Without him,no awesome quote: "You spoony bard!"

7. When Cid and Tellah yell at eachother because they are both old,it is so hilarious XD

8. He looks cool ingame, but Amano makes him look like a dork (His artwork makes most characters look like dorks...)

9. Hes way more useful then Cid,I'll give ya that.

10. Tellah. Lol,what a funneh name.

So zippity zap, blah blah blah, you all hate me,blah blah blah but it won't change a thing. THERE. I SAID IT. Hitherelol

.....huh? Drake Clawfang 00:25, September 18, 2009 (UTC)

Don't get it,do ya? Lots of people make fun of Tellah, but hes a awesome character. Hitherelol
Especially if you change his Staff for a Rod and use it as a command (Under Abilities, change Attack or Recall for Item->Rod) in battle. His Mage Arrows attack is significantly stronger then Rydia's is.LReyomeXX 00:17, September 23, 2010 (UTC)

Tellah doesn't know every spell in the game you're thinking of fusoya. and although he knows a lot of spells, he can't cast much without losing all his mp and they don't seem as strong when used by him and to get "a zillion ethers" would cost a lot of gill meaning you can't buy important things like armour, weapons, and other support items. and even if his stats only go down a little, they still go down witch, if i'm not mistaken, no other characters do. Myself 123 21:25, March 14, 2010 (UTC)

Fusoya is a stronger Tellah, and Rydia + Rosa is far better as mages Uppfinnarn 16:11, March 15, 2010 (UTC)

Look-a-like[]

In the movie the Chronicles of Narnia the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe. I noticed with the professor at the start... take a good look at him. He surprisingly looks a lot like Tellah. A lot... http://www.google.ca/images?hl=en&source=hp&biw=994&bih=604&q=the+lion+the+witch+and+the+wardrobe+professor&gbv=2&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&oq=

It seems hard to disagree after seeing these shots. Moogleknight24 12:47, April 13, 2011 (UTC)Moogleknight24

What, that they are both old men with long white hair and beard with glasses? Shocking. ;)Keltainentoukokuu 16:09, April 13, 2011 (UTC)

Underrated Death (Topic I'll get flamed for)[]

I admit... Tellah's death is underrated.

Everyone always goes on and on about how sad and dramatic Aeris/Aerith's death was in 7 but no-one ever talks about Tellah.

-His daughter was brutally murdered and swore to avenge Anna but only way he could do it was by casting Meteor though it would kill himself and he Knew that. If he survived and killed Golbez than great, if he died he'd be reunited with Anna so either way he'd be at peace. He was purposely sacrificing his life to save the world. He didn't care if he died if it meant taking Golbez with him. And it was all in vain because it did nothing... his entire mission to find Meteor and his death was all for nothing because Golbez survived.

With Aerith... Sephiroth stabbed her (That's basically it) Though Aerith was in the party for much much longer and players connected with her so it was pretty devastating with all that level grinding wasted. And there's the whole apparent romance with Cloud which was touching, though it would be more if Cloud had a romantic personality. As well as she was the key to obtaining the spell to save the world before Sephiroth swooped down. I'm not saying I wasn't saddened by her death, her death was one of the most shocking and sad moments in videogaming history.

Though I think purposely sacrificing your own life to save the world and avenge the murder of the only person in life who truly meant something to you only for it to be completely utterly pointless... that I found more dramatic.

Yell at me or insult me if you will (I was not dissing FF7, but instead trying to praise FF4) but that's my opinion. I just wanted to give you something to think about.

Your opinion is great, and everyone's the right to one, however, that said, the talk page probably isn't the best place for it. I recommend making a forum post or putting it on your userpage. Jimcloud 07:20, April 29, 2011 (UTC)

Thanks :D The thing is, I thought the talk pages counted as forums. Oops... I'm still not used to wikis... I'll put it on my Userpage. Can a moderator please delete this? Moogleknight24 10:32, April 29, 2011 (UTC)Moogleknight24

If they counted as forums, why the need for both? -_- - Henryacores^ 13:23, April 29, 2011 (UTC)

I don't know, to me they're both places to talk about certain subjects so they made no difference to me. In other words, I am a moron and someone can delete this whole thing anytime. Moogleknight24 20:19, April 29, 2011 (UTC)Moogleknight24

Homeland/birthplace/whatever[]

So Tellah's homeland is stated in The After Years to be Kaipo...but the Settings Guide claims it's Mysidia (or rather, his birthplace). Problem is that "homeland" and "birthplace" aren't necessarily synonymous; Cecil's homeland is considered to be Baron, since he's lived there for almost all his life, but we all know he wasn't born there... new Trivia?[]

Looking over a couple of discussions, I was wondering if we should add that Tellah was the first PC FF character to die here in the west, as FFII was skipped. Maybe reword that a bit because I'm terrible at describing things sometimes.

I'd also like to propose the fact that his stamina actually dropped as he leveled up, iirc
