Wow I cant believe that not alot of people have been talking about Seifer. I guess he's not as popular as I thought.

--Isn't it interesting how in battle Seifer always attacks striking upward, and squall downward, wereas when they give each other scars its the other way around? (Squall strikes up, Seifer strikes down) I don't know why I posted this here, I just thought it was interestig.

Hmm, that's a good thing to add to the article that states that the guys are like mirror images (example; Squall is a piece of shit, Seifer is not), if I remembered what the hell that article was called.

Could someone move his Stats & battle info to a boss page.

I would do it but I'm on my wii right now, so if someone could do it for me I would appreciate it. Thanks.

[edit] Fire magic at FMV or fire cross limit break?

Its not really important, but i was wondering werither hes actually casting FIRE, or using his limit break, the latter seems to make sense; Seifer uses his limit break, scratches squall, then squall retaliates with rough devine.

[edit] Seifer is Edea & Cid's SON??

Its been six years, and I never finished the game, but that doesn't seem right. Is there any validity to that being in our Trivia Section?

TALK - Lionhearted 10:44, 17 December 2008 (UTC)
None whatsoever. There's nothing in the whole game that indicates any father-son or mother-son relationship between Seifer, Cid and Edea. Cid holds Seifer's card, and Edea uses him as a Sorceress Knight while she is possessed, but that doesn't mean anything.}

Drake Clawfang - You've got guts. I like that in a victim.
TALK - 19:23, 30 December 2008 (UTC)
Plus, since Squall is Laguna's son, I guess people are assuming Seifer could be Edea's. Really makes no sense though, smells like fanfiction to me.

Actually the fact that Cid has Seifer's card can be thought to imply the father son relationship, given that laguna hold's squalls card and all the many many small parallels the two characters have... nothing definitive but it is implied. Zuken 17:59, October 20, 2009 (UTC)

yes, implied no where. the mayors wife if fh has irivibes card does that mean she's irivibes mother? Oni Dark Link 18:06, October 20, 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Consistant Innacuracy

Whoever keeps saying that Gilgamesh blasted the evil out of Seifer. That can't have happened because DIRECTLY after that battle, Seifer went and gave Rinoa to Adel. So there was still a "dark influence in his heart."

Hmmm...I havent gotten to that part as of yet in the game but it could be that since its DIRECTLY after the battle, his "dark essence in his heart" is slowly fading away and hasn't completely diminished yet from Gilgamesh. Just a theory. Evil usually doesnt just go away as easy as that. Cobalt Mage 05:22, 8 March 2009 (UTC)

TALK - {{{time}}}
Uh... yeah, his words when he gets to that point are still very much about that he's under Ulti's influence. It's something like "The two sorceresses, as one! That is Ultimecia's WISH!" That is not "slowly fading." If it was he wouldn't have been grinning like a fiend when he shoved his ex-girlfriend at Adel.

Also as far as I'm aware, FFWiki isn't for fanon / theories outside of triva sections.

ScatheMote - 18:42, 8 March 2009 (UTC)
I have never heard that Gilgamesh did anything to Seifer except slice him up. Also, Gilgamesh won't appear unless the player does a sidequest to get Odin. The story is exactly the same if Gilgamesh is there or not, as he is an optional quest.

Replying to Eowynjedi.....like I said I havent played the game til that far yet. And u don't need to be bitchy, I'm just giving an input. If you're gonna post a comment, expect replies.

And "as far as I'm aware" this is a TALK page, not the actual article. Using common sense I would think this is a page for discussing issues, theories, and facts about the article. If you look above you can also clearly see that people are discussing other possibilities and theories about the article such as Seifer being Edea's son (this is just an example). Where was I being bitchy? o_O I was putting this up on the talk page to clarify an innacuracy that consistantly is edited back into the article. I meant that the main text of the article is not for fanon or theories... yeah, the discussion pages are used for figuring out what's fanon and what's not.

Sorry if I came off brusquely in my initial reply.

Well you did sound like one of those FF fans that know alot about the series and like trample on other fans for their ignorance. That's why I thought u sounded bitchy, specifically when u started by say "uh....yeah" in ur previous reply and when u said "Also as far as I'm aware, FFWiki isn't for fanon / theories outside of triva sections.".

Well to say without any rudeness, I was giving a theory on the "talk" page might i add. U were kinda bringing in that I'M the one putting these "false" edits into the article by saying FFwiki is not a place for theories and adding to that by saying its not for the main articles. I would recommend asking a Seifer-devotee FF fan if you can find one. I know someone who is for Squall but not for Seifer. Adding another theory, Seifer probably stopped being 'evil' after the defeat of Ultimecia. With the source destorye, nothing can control his mind and actions. Cobalt Mage 01:48, 9 March 2009 (UTC)

Poor Seifer, he never gets any credit. None of his actions can ever be his alone. This is why mind control is such a cheap device. --BlueHighwind 01:52, 9 March 2009 (UTC)

Yea i feel sorry for Seifer actually. Its the same with Golbez, but let's stay in the Seifer topic for the seifer Talk page. Seifer's also one of my favorite male characters. Kinda like an 'underdog'. Cobalt Mage 02:04, 9 March 2009 (UTC)

TALK - {{{time}}}
Ah no, I'm not trying to trample on anyone. ^^ And yeah, in the ending Seifer definitely appears to be freed of Ulti's influence... personally I think it wasn't complete mind-control though, like it was with Kain in FFIV. It was more like Ultimecia / Edea taking advantage of his desires and twisting them around, not a complete puppetmaster act.

Espceially as stated in the article he smiles at the floating by garden. Yea it was more like she went into his mind and twisted his sense of justice so he's aware of his actions but is not aware that he isnt really making them and how he's not acting like himself.Cobalt Mage 02:22, 9 March 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Seifer - Laguna connection

I heard that the reason Laguna's and Seifer's gunblade stances are identical is because as a child, Seifer idolized the hero (Laguna) of the film and this is also why Seifer has such strong dreams of knighthood.

Is there any weight to that or is it just fan-stuff? --71.206.214.125 23:01, 30 July 2009 (UTC)

Probably fan-stuff, but it makes a nice story. Drake Clawfang 23:06, 30 July 2009 (UTC)
The scene they filmed was "Death of a Sorceress" and it involved a sorceress (NPC) and "Sir Knight" (Laguna). Seifer wanted to be "the sorceress' knight." It doesn't sound like a coincidence to me. Saving the damsel in distress from an evil red dragon is a typical romantic concept. Moguta 23:25, 30 July 2009 (UTC)
And keep in mind that Square could easily have used Squall's battle stance for that scene, which would have perfectly fit with the Squall-Laguna connection. The fact they didn't and used Seifer's stance instead implies they had something in mind. Moguta 23:29, 30 July 2009 (UTC)
