Heroine Source[]
Maria's profile on Wikipedia's http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Characters_of_Final_Fantasy_II
- Wikipedia = unreliable. --Crazyswordsman 20:33, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
- Regardless, there's not enough character development to call her a heroine; she is the female lead on account of her being the only permenant female character in the party and a relation of two of the others. However, she never does anything that follows the connotations of heroine. On a side note, you should stop looking for sources of heroine; it's a class A drug and can do you some serious harm if you continue to use it in such amounts. Oh yea, I'm back properly now.
- It could be very well you who edited it as heroine there. Most likely in fact. --Auron Kaizer 11:17, 23 March 2007 (UTC)
No, actually it has been there for 3 years now. I have never changed it because I don't have that an account there. User:Eris
We were talking about Wikipedia. Anyway, the guy that first wrote heroine was some user named warpedmirror. I didn't have anything to do with it. User:Eris
Weapon?[]
DrakemasterDrake - "I would rather live a short life of glory than a long one of obscurity." TALK - whatever... The clock on this site is so messed up, why bother?
Why is it written here that Maria uses bows? That's just what she started the game with, her bow level never even has to reach level 2. I think that this should be deleted, but I'm sure someone will speak against it so I'm explaining what I'll do here first so several people don't have to go back and forth editing.
I really don't know anything about Maria or FFII so if you look at the end of the article the description is blended in. It says Maria's starting equipment.

Yeah, just saw. But I believe that one of the main characters also start with a Potion equipped. I have to check.
Bow[]
This is more gameplay advice, although I came onto this page to see if it helped and it didn't. I'm playing Origins... she cannot hit the opponent with any weapon I give her other than the bow. Any ideas why? 88.108.91.203 14:45, July 28, 2010 (UTC)
- Either rotten luck or some quirk of the code. I've noticed the same thing myself, though. She otherwise seems to do best unarmed, but it's part of what made me quit playing. Natural growth system? Fine. Chrono Cross did the same thing. But at least everyone in Chrono Cross could hit the broad side of a barn. XD Bluestarultor 14:50, July 28, 2010 (UTC)
- Is Maria in the back row? Because if she is, she can't hit anything from there except with the bow. ScatheMote 15:39, July 28, 2010 (UTC)
- I thought that after I wrote the message. I don't understand why she can't even attack herself on the back row though. 88.108.91.203 17:04, July 28, 2010 (UTC)
- IIRC, it didn't matter much WHERE you put her. Her accuracy just was not very good with anything else for some reason. It's been a while, though. Bluestarultor 15:52, July 28, 2010 (UTC)
"First female player character"[]
In the Trivia there is this point "Maria is the first female playable character in the series since the playable characters from the first Final Fantasy had no designated genders unless the player named them as such."
By this logic, Tirion and Guy are the first male playable characters, but no such trivia is listed on their pages. Even though it says "no designated genders" the point really seems to suggest that the PCs in FFI are male by default
