Talk:Jecht

From Final Fantasy Wiki

Should we remove all those citations? Not only does it make the page look very messy, it is also useless here. --Auron Kaizer 20:31, 24 November 2006 (UTC)

Yes. Go ahead and remove anything and everything that makes it look like a Wikipedia article. Crazyswordsman 00:16, 25 November 2006 (UTC)
It looks awesome now! We should do this to all the pages! --Auron Kaizer 17:01, 25 November 2006 (UTC)
The thing is, those references were actually interesting quotes from the game involving Jecht. I think they should be put back.

[edit] Quotes

I'm starting to think that some of the quotes made using the Quote template are out of place, like the one in the middle of the article by Tidus. Wouldn't it be better with an actual "quotes" section in the article? The quotes can be by, or about, the character (so Tidus' "I hate you" would still fit here). --Hecko X 17:06, 25 November 2006 (UTC)

So, Blue, did you not understand the main point of the addition you reverted or do you have a better explanation for why you erased it? There's really no reason to not leave it in, since it does bring up a revelant point as is in the Trivia section.

[edit] John Gries?

Where is that coming from? I can't find any connection between that dude and Dissida anywhere. I sure hope that whoever added it was just making it up, because Jecht's English voice actor was one of the few who actually seemed to care about being good during FFX.

Sounds like bull to me. Did a search and found nothing at all about it. Also why would Jon Gries do video game voice acting? Looking at the guys IMDb page he looks to be way too busy to be doing voice acting for some video game. Think it should be removed until a credible source shows up.

[edit] Jecht=Sol Badguy?

Several people have begun to notice that Jecht's fighting style is quite awfully similar to Sol Badguy's. I mean, not in fighting type, but the way they attack; i.e., Punches and kicks with occasional uses of the sword. Same goes for his HP attacks resembling some of Sol's super attacks. Anyone else around here notice the semblance? Kaihedgie 11:14, 19 January 2009 (UTC)

The name is never mentioned, maybe Dissidia will get it a name.

[edit] Sent?

Was Jecht ever Sent to the Farplane? I ask because once the Final Aeon is beaten and Jecht is shown fatally injured, Yuna makes a point of saying "Sir Jecht, I should...", but Jecht doesn't give her the chance and orders her to call her Aeons. So if Yuna never got a chance to send him, what happened to Jecht? For that matter, were any of the past incarnations of Sin Sent? Drake Clawfang 08:29, November 10, 2009 (UTC)

Jecht was sent to the Farplane, remember that scene at the very end of FFX where Tidus jumps into the Farplane and gives his daddy a high-five there? And in FFX-2, Jecht, Auron, and Braska all appear in the Farplane to give your party advice about defeating Shuyin. So to answer your question, Drake, perhaps Jecht made his way to the Farplane after his defeat by himself? Who knows, the game never makes it clear (or maybe we should assume it ourselves). I'm not sure if all of the past incarnations of Sin were sent, at least not the ones that you meet as Fayth when you obtain their Aeon. Seymour's mother, for example. She was the Sin when Braska went on his pilgrimage. Even after that Sin's defeat, she still showed up as a Fayth for Anima at Baaj Temple. So I'm guessing that not all (or maybe all) of the past incarnations of Sin did not make it to the Farplane, but went to their Fayth statues if they still existed in Spira. This is just a theory. Violetmage♥14:00, November 10, 2009 (UTC)

what makes you think seymour's mother was sin? Oni Dark Link 16:19, November 10, 2009 (UTC)

Violetmage looks at Anima page I guess you're right! All this time I thought that Seymour's Mummy had become the next Sin, but then that would have meant that Seymour would have died. Violetmage♥

It would seem going to the farplane when you die is a choice, kinda like what the Maester Mika did when he found out that Yuna & Co. defeated Yunalesca and blocked off the ability to create the Final Aeon. The unsent are ones who feel a strong connection or circumstance and that is why they stay behind, which is plot critical with the story line (Auron's promise to Jecht, Seymour's ambitions, Yunalesca's purpose for the Final Aeon). The unsent who have unusually painful or violent ends and circumstances are the ones who become fiends, as shown by Ultima and Omega. As far as Auron requesting to be sent by Yuna at the end of the game, I think he only asked because being sent by Yuna would be a great honor to him. Back to the point at hand though. When Jecht was defeated and he seen that Yu-Yevon was defeated and that Tidus was stronger, his soul(for lack of a better word) was at ease and he was able to crossover. I haven't played this game in a while so I'm going from memory, so if any of this is innacurate I apologize in advance.

didnt miks run swsy and hide in the via infinito? all though wether the unsents there are real or not is debatable because yunalesca was there and we all know she was erased from spira Oni Dark Link 16:19, November 11, 2009 (UTC)
