Fury?[]
Where'd the name Fury come from? It sounds ridiculous, and I'm pretty sure it wasn't in the game.
Probably some game book or something. I have an even more pressing question: What happens to General Caraway after the assassination fails? In my game, he was completely forgotten. Well, I never finished the game, so... yeah... The article doesn't say anything about it. Anybody know?

Maybe he's got a bad temper.
SilverSummoner - Believe it or not, I've been stalking your talk page all these times... O_O Liek srsly TALK - {{{time}}}
If I recall corectly, the Ultimania states that his name is Fury Caraway...
Caraway wasn't found to be linked to the assassination attempt. So he remains untouched (he recides in his house where you can play Triple Triad with him later) and is able to retrieve his daughter from prison.
That's it? He fails once, gets away scot-free and then totally gives up? Man, this game is cruel to its secondary characters. If you're not Squall or Rinoa, don't bet on being remembered by the plot.
Remember that this is on an out-of-date system using some of the first video capturing software and realistic cg. They probably didn't have enough memory to feature the extra tidbits of plot that we all get nowadays.
The name reminds me of a marvel character named Colonel Fury of S.H.I.E.L.D. You know? The only guy on Marvel Universe who can shout at Wolverine and still live to tell the tale (Considering he's Wolvies boss, sorta).
Yes, this name comes from the FF Character Ultimania. 'Course, this is as much as Japanese only as Cecil "Harvey".
Eh? I'm fairly sure Harvey wasn't Jap-only...
Talking to the G-Army soldiers stationed in Deling after the Battle Of The Gardens, it's implied that Caraway is no longer part of (or at least in control of) the military, with everything now at Seifer's command. I think the insinuation is supposed to be that Caraway was ousted shortly after the assassination, when the Sorceress took over, but I'd like to think he called in a few favours to bust Rinoa out of D-District Prison and had to resign as a result. In any case, the name is ridiculous. 86.12.57.149 00:46, June 20, 2010 (UTC)
Rank[]
It says his rank in the English version is General, but in other languages he's a colonel... My problem is that it then says that they are two ranks apart... In the US Army at least, it goes Lt Colonel, Colonel, Brigadier General (1-star), Major General (2-star), Lt General (3-star), General (4-star), General of the Army (5-star)... Since Colonel goes straight to General, this should be either fixed or removed... What is his exact rank in the different languages? Orban Sirgen (talk) 22:22, July 12, 2013 (UTC)
- In Polish fan translation (not official translation; there is not a single officially localised in Polish FF game, mind you) he holds a rank of a general.—Kaimi (999,999 CP/5 TP) ∙ 22:38, July 12, 2013 (UTC)
