Should we name this "Fort Tamblin"? I'm one of those people who prefers all abbv.s to be extended in name titles. But we do not do that here.
However, I consider this case a little different. This because a "Fort Condor" exists in the compilation. It just doesn't seem right having two different versions of the same word used in different places. Also, since when was "Ft." the abbreviation of "Fort"? Even if it is, it's not as common as "Ft." being the abbreviation of "Featuring", used commonly within the music business; or "Feet".
And I did a google search, "Ft. Tamblin" got 6, "Fort Tamblin" got 160. (One of them was here); but that doesn't matter. ILHI 16:07, 16 August 2008 (UTC)
"Ft." has always been an abbreviation for "Fort". Naturally I doubt that any of this comes close to meaning or making a difference. Just change it if you want it different. Who should anyone care which way it goes? | |||
