Gilgamesh from Chocobo to Mahou no Ehon

How exactly is little known about Kairi's abilities? She went valor form and her skills looked to be on par with Rikku's. Sorry, but it seemed kind of like a writer's bias to me.

Is only now confused. What is the anon referring to? The writer of the article, or Dead Fantasy it self? I read the article and it wouldn't make sense to be.

Dead Fantasy[]

What's up with all these fan pics on the Dead Fantasy page?

What's wrong with the screenshots from the actual video?

[Bagu]

They are art for the series made by Monty Oum, it's creator. I see you have already removed some of the art so... Fix it! Fix it! fix it! fix it! fix it! fix it! Fix it! Fix it fix it fix it! Fix it fix it fix it fix it fix it fix it fix it fix it fix it fix it fix it fix it!!!!!!!!

Well, the way the random IP above said it is kind of unnecessary, but they actually are official pics made by Monty Oum. His website has some of these images appearing each time someone goes to a new section of the site. MarioGalaxyMay Guthix be with you... 23:11, 2 May 2009 (UTC)

Episodes III and IV are up. Anyone care to add them to the article? Xeno the Hedgehog 19:29, 21 July 2009 (UTC)

It shall be done. Netherith 08:26, 22 July 2009 (UTC)

Part V is up. It felt like I was watching a live-action film. Ninjas get slaughtered, Hayate gets slapped, Tifa gets airlifted, the animation is beautiful, but the sight of Tifa after the fight is over...it's not pretty. Xeno the Hedgehog 01:34, 29 July 2009 (UTC)

Slap[]

The section that describes Hitomi's reason for slapping Hayate is misleading. It states that she slapped him because he interfered with her fight with Tifa. However, given Hitomi's body language and the severity of Tifa's injuries, I think it would be more plausible to assume that Hitomi was disgusted at what he and his ninjas had done to her; he stoically carries her out of the building, unconscious and bleeding profusely from multiple wounds in her limbs and torso. Tifa's condition was bad enough that she had to be airlifted (transported to a medical facility by air to avoid traffic and minimize the time it takes to reach said facility; first aid and initial preparations for surgery are administered during the flight, which usually doesn't take more than a few minutes, as the paramedics cannot afford to waste what little time the patient has left to live). The fight started as a sparring match, but Hayate and his troops treated it like an assassination; the manner in which they attacked her suggests they fully intended to kill her. Also, the weapons that had been impaled through Tifa's body may have caused her injuries, but removing them was probably the worst decision Hayate could possibly have made; the weapons undoubtedly pierced through most of her vital organs and major arteries and veins. Put simply, the foreign objects that caused the wounds were the only thing preventing them from bleeding out. Because Hayate removed them before a surgical bypass could be applied, there's nothing left to prevent blood loss, and it's likely that Tifa will die. Taking all of that into account, it's not surprising that Hitomi would be angry enough to slap him. Furthermore, Hitomi's body language when the materia in her arm begins glowing, and the manner in which she brings it to Helena's attention, suggest that she had requested its removal and subsequent return to its rightful owner. Considering that the materia in question was green, it's likely that it could be used to administer a cure spell, though Hitomi's relative lack of experience with materia prior to this fight could mean that she was asking Helena to find a way to administer the cure spell. Of course, this is just theoretical conjecture and we won't know for sure where Tifa's going or what will happen to the materia until Dead Fantasy VI. Your thoughts? Xeno the Hedgehog 19:09, 30 July 2009 (UTC)

  • Well, this theory I can believe and agree with. The slap itself is confusing because there weren't any dialogue in any parts of Dead Fantasy that would explain this. But, that's the beauty of it, people are excited to know why or something like that. --SMS1996 20:06, 30 July 2009 (UTC)
Dialogue isn't necessary. The characters' body language and facial expressions said it all. I think the article should be rewritten to give a more detailed analysis of each character's actions and behavior during each episode, as an individual's behavior says more than any words can; something Monty Oum seems to understand quite well. However, he has posted a poll on his DeviantArt page asking if he should use voice acting in future installments. Xeno the Hedgehog 20:40, 30 July 2009 (UTC)
  • Well, if I were him, I would keep it voice-less. Because somehow it would ruin the magic it keeps that should remain for the rest of the series. --SMS1996 20:51, 30 July 2009 (UTC)

Why are they fighting?[]

--KrspaceT 20:56, January 7, 2010 (UTC) Why are they trying to pulverize each other?

I believe we'll find that out as the movies progress but the DOA crew seem to be tracking down and capturing the FF crew. Tifa went in to help. Not sure what Rinoa is up to. Kairi was helping out the FF crew. I think Rachel is also helping the DOA crew. A lot of potential motives here. Netherith 22:15, January 7, 2010 (UTC)

Some really good things doesn't need a story, examples: Super Smash Bros., Dead Fantasy, Final Fantasy V Uppfinnarn 14:45, January 8, 2010 (UTC)

small update[]

Oum has recently posted a poll on his Deviantart page, in which he hints that Tifa might use dresspheres in a future installment. Xeno the Hedgehog 19:17, February 4, 2010 (UTC)

Dead Fantasy Novelization[]

--Mjka 22:09, May 4, 2010 (UTC) I just found a fanfic that attempts to flesh out the sadly-lacking plotline in Dead Fantasy. Being a fanfic however and not even by Mounty Oum I'm not sure if it should be mentioned here. Should I or should not put it in the Trivia?

No. Doreiku Kuroofangu 23:15, May 4, 2010 (UTC)

Relevance?[]

I personally feel that fan-related content has no place in the Wikia, no matter how "well made" it may be. It is too subjective a standard to allow something like "Dead Fantasy" to be put on pages in the trivia section, and to have it's own page, and the thousands of youtube content to not be.

Cúchulainn Glyph Art

i'm going to have to agree with the one who posted this. fanfiction seems like something that has no place for WIki, official, or notable non-official. though it's very odd for gametrailers to even mention it, the site is mainly based to show games and upcoming. although it's one of the most popular ff fanfiction, i don't think it's the greatest thing in fanfic history especially for FF. this seems to mainly be famous in the US. And i would have to say that no, dead fantasy is no longer based entirely on final fantasy.

I wouldn't like it here either, being non-official and all, but then again, meh. BLUER一番 12:16, August 14, 2010 (UTC)

I know I'm chiming in way after the fact but personally I've always been bothered by the inclusion of Dead Fantasy in other articles. I don't really think it's that bad for it to have it's own article, but to include references to Dead Fantasy within the individual articles for every character featured seems incredibly unprofessional. Fan-content needs to be notable to deserve mention, and just because it's had a lot of views doesn't make it relevant. There are also Final Fantasy yaoi doujinshi that have thousands of readers but that doesn't make them relevant either. As an analogy, the Sonic Retro wiki doesn't include references to fan-made Sonic games, but when one of the most talented fan creators actually got a job at Sega doing ports of older games, he merited a mention in those articles.
