From Final Fantasy Wiki

Will the dark knight be able to wield knight swords?

only if you set it up with the 2 wep fighting that you get in the ninja class

[edit] Concordance!

A faq? Any elaboration on Dark knight usage please? Somebody, anybody!?

[edit] Dark Knight

The Dark Knight is a powerful class which can destroy enemies clearly with one shot. Although there is a problem with the Dark Knight that makes it very hard to control. The Dark Knight has something called Vehemence which brings up attack 50% but brings down defense 50%. It's very powerful but your character usually dies. Because you have to master two classes and get level 8 in 4 other ones this is the preferred choice I would make until later on in the game.

Once you get Dark Knight early in the game and people still hit you with swords use this combination.

Darkness (your choice) Vanish Attack Boost/Vehemence Move +2 (he's usually good with movement anyways)

This combination helps your character from not dying. Usually Vanish is what helps. Once you have a chance to kill your opponent and gain health use Shadowblade. Later on in the game magic and other sword spells will be used by other bosses. Vanish only works if it's a physical, not magical or sword range. If your character is in that dilemma already then use this next one.

Darkness White Magic (Wall, Esuna, one of the cures, Reraise, Arise, Holy, and others that you think may be useful)

Vehemence Move +2

Since my main character was used more, I decided to make him the dark knight. The best sword to buy in the game is runeblade. The best sword to have is in the second to last level which is ragnorok. This is as far as I know. If you are able to buy the sword Save the Queen and armor called Mirror Mail get it for your main characters if possible. Save the queen and Mirror Mail gives you permanent Protect and Reflect. If you want to, when you have Orlandeau take his sword Excalibur and give it to your main character. It gives him haste instead of protect. The reason I choose White Magic is just in case he dies use reraise if possible. Their are other ways to get out of the death chain.

[edit] Just a thought.

I find it cute that the Female Dark Knight artwork features a pink waistband/belt with a smiley face amidst all the dark attire.

[edit] Ramza as a Dark Knight

Gustav Margriff - Hell yeah! Final Fantasy the best game ever!
TALK - {{{time}}}
I find much interesting if you train Ramza's job classes on zeklaus desert, there you will find a level trap to calibrate the level and maintain his level from 10 to 12, however you can purchase attack boost for Ramza to make him stronger, when i first did Ramza a Dark Knight at the start of the chapter 2, every battle turned epic with him like the one with Gaffgarion, Wiegraf, or even with Argath when he was resurrected. play as Ramza as a Dark Knight all the way and then you will feel much comfort and free, by that you will not get bothered with the fact of need to get closer of your enemies to hit them.

notice:"a good fact of seem Ramza as a Dark Knight, it's his heresy problem." File:FFT-Ramza3.PNG

[edit] This is confusing

The tag is "FF Tactics", but the article refers to a job in "War of the Lions". I have no idea how the Ivalice jobs work, so could someone explain this to me? Drake Clawfang 10:46, November 2, 2009 (UTC)

This job was introduced in the game Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions. The game itself is Final Fantasy Tactics, but people often use War of the Lions to refer to the remake specifically. The page gets the tag to refer to the core game, not dissimilar to Oracle (Final Fantasy V) which, too, only existed in the remake. -- Image:FFIII-nes-sage.gif Saethori (T / C) - 20:55, November 2, 2009 (UTC)

Aaaah, okay. Reading around it seems Tactics did have a Dark Knight class originally, but they changed it to Fell Knight in the remakes? That's just damn unneeded, rename an already existing job and introduce a new one with its old name. Drake Clawfang 20:57, November 2, 2009 (UTC)
