Should I add a section on FFXII, or can I not make an edit about it?

Already an FFXII section, so you don't need to worry.

[edit] FF2

Huh.. I never noticed that the Pandora was crystal. Interesting.

But.. what about FF2, then? I always found it odd that every single game except 2 and 8 had crystal(s), and now that 8 does... does 2 have some hidden away somewhere as well?

Hmm. I'm pretty sure Crystals were not mentioned in FF2, at least in the Advance port I played. Though I remember that the final battle scene with the Emperor in Pandaemonium takes place in a crystal-like surrounding.

And final location of FFV is pretty crystal-ish. So what?

Hmm, let's quickly run through II's plot:
  • Long ago the portal to hell opened. The people, scared for their lives, turned to Mysidia. The mages of Mysidia used the spell Ultima to seal up Hell, and then stored the powerful spell away.
  • Modern day, and the Emperor comes along and summons monsters from Hell to cause havoc on the world.
  • The resistance fights against the Emperor killing him. This was part of his plan, and now he's king of Hell.
  • Party goes to Hell and kick's Emperor's ass.
  • In heaven, Minwu and Co kick the Emperor's ass again.

Unless the spell Ultima was related to crystals, I can't think of any place where Crystals came up in the plot. The final floor of Panaemonium looked like it was made of crystal though.

I just figured that was because for about 4 games running (FFII - FFV) the last floors of the Final Dungeon had to have shiny blue tiled floors for some reason. I don't recall FFI, though.

FF was just in the basement of the Shrine of Chaos.

II really is the only main series FF game without a crystal link it seems.

Wait, I remember now. FFI (the GBA version at least) did not have the square blue shiney tiles of the next few games. Its floors were blue tiles, but not dark enough, not in a grid, and not shiney.

[edit] Templates

I have noticed that most templates don't link to this page,a nd that this page doesn't have any template at all, which I find strange.

I am aware that adding templates to it isn't a good idea, as it would flood the bottom of the page, which I don't find appealing, and thus I am not suggesting it, but shouldn't some navigation templates link to this page?

[edit] FFX

Master Conjurer : {{{1}}}
I always considered spheres to be X's replacement for crystals, to reflect Spira's theme of cycles. I don't think one little hidden crystal would make as good an equivalent.

[edit] Dissidia Crystals

Alright, it seems pretty obvious what each crystal represents in Dissidia, since they look like something from that game, but nobody seems to know what Squall's is. I thought it was supposed to look like the Griever pendant, Netherith said Gunblade (which I now believe too) and some annon says a feather. Now, that looks like no feather I've ever seen. Diablocon 18:37, 16 January 2009 (UTC)

That is most certainly a gunblade. ScatheMote 18:39, 16 January 2009 (UTC)

I agree, but I also think it best represents a Draw Point and Gunblade both- While you can see the blade and the handle, the handle looks forked and separated into two, and the blade is splintered, pronged like if it was going up, like something being drained out of the ground. I just hope that they weren't really just lazy and it's just a gunblade. Eureka!!

That looks absolutely nothing like a Draw Point in any way. Dazuro 05:21, 21 February 2009 (UTC)
Splintered boring gunblade? That's pretty damn boring.

[edit] 4 Crystals in FF3?

I i recall correctly Final Fantasy III Have 8 Crystals, not four. Dark world have Crystals too. — 82.154.183.210 09:33, 30 January 2009 (UTC)

[edit] FF4 Crystals

I had a thought. In TAY, it's revealed that the Creator made all the Crystals, right? Well, at first I wondered how the Lunarians had Crystals on their moon then. Then, I remembered that Fusoya says the Lunarians came from the planet between Mars and Jupiter that was destroyed. So maybe, I was thinking the Crystals of the Moon originally came from their first home, and it was destroyed by the Creator forcing them to flee to Earth. No?
