Vanishing Odin?[]
Does Odin really vanish if the timer runs out on you before you fight him? For me, when I was farming Tonberries for Tonberry King, and timer ran out during battle with one, the battle ended instantly, Odin said something like "Perish by my blade!" then I got the Try Again/Give Up choice. Possibly the result changes if timer runs out when: 1) out of combat (he disappears); 2) in combat, but not with Odin (you get booted out); 3) In combat with Odin (Zantetsuken)?
EDIT: Zantetsuken Game Over. As seen in the video (look at the very end), the player just gets an instant game over after being diced by Odin. Kruggov (talk) 15:39, April 5, 2018 (UTC)
- I completely misread and misunderstood what you said, sorry.
- So there's script in the game that ejects you to a black screen with:
”The heavens hath decreed thy fate.
PERISH BY MY SWORD!“Try again
Game over- Looking at the code, I think when you run out of time out of a battle the same thing happens to you. Would be good for someone to confirm though. JBed (talk) 15:54, April 5, 2018 (UTC)
- Just checked - same result, regardless of if you're in combat or not. So only whether you're fighting Odin or not actually matters.
I wonder where did "Odin Disappears" even came from? Kruggov (talk) 17:29, April 5, 2018 (UTC)
