Bugenhagen's Sphere[]
This just occurred to me, but there's a character from the Dragonball franchise who's a witch and levitates around on a crystal ball. She also uses it the same as a fortune-teller. Is this some common trope in Japanese culture? Bugenhagen could pass for a fortune-teller, in my opinion, and it might be a symbol of his wisdom somehow. Could someone verify/explain? Yes it is, in Dragon Ball world Mutenroshi also is bald and with beard and moustache like Bugenhagen, it seems that's it's pretty normal in Japanese culture for wise men or elders.
