Gilgamesh: Enough expository banter!

Problem report[]

One of Bizarro's attacks is missing. The attack is Demi3. His head uses it as a final attack when it dies. This can only happen when his left and right magic are alive during the beginning of the battle. 76.125.46.11 04:49, 2 Jan 2009 (UTC)

Automated transfer of Problem Report #21542[]

The following message was left by Anonymous via PR #21542 on 2009-04-28 02:39:33 UTC

There arev two more attacks that Bizarro Sephiroth can use. Its limbs can use slow and stop. It uses it very rarely. It probably only uses it during a two or three team fight. You also put Demi 3 twice on the attack section.

Spelling Error[]

Every time it is mentioned, Bizzarro Enegy is misspelled as 'Bizarro Energy.' I'm going to assume this is a simple mistake, but I still want to get someone else's approval before I correct it (perhaps a new source has come out which retcons the attack name). ——Preceding unsigned comment was added by 99.247.176.46 (talkcontribs) 20:35, September 26, 2009 (PDT). Believe in the future, and persist in the present, that's what I'll do!
It is an ingame typo. As I understand it, this Wiki's policy on typos differs somewhat than the policy on unusual translations; and we will try to fix any obvious spelling errors.

If it were fixed, you'd probably need a (sic) tag after every one. Maybe...

Call it what it's called in-game. And if it is a translation error that people will change if they think it's wrong, add <!--sic--> next to it.  ILHI 21:45, September 26, 2009 (UTC)

The little Dot after Bizarro[]

How does one type that? I don't see a button for it. Or is it for special keyboards? ShirubaKurono Dissicon ff13 Lig317:30, March 6, 2010 (UTC)

You mean the "∙"? Unfortunately you can't, or at least not as far as I'm aware of. What I did was copy 'n' paste it from another site. Jeppo (Talk | contribs) 17:37, March 6, 2010 (UTC)
Oh, alright. Thanks Jeppo. ShirubaKurono Dissicon ff13 Lig317:38, March 6, 2010 (UTC)
Which? I made a correction to the page that included the name.IronGasoline (talk) 10:27, November 17, 2014 (UTC)

FFVII Cait Sith Battle

Hmm wow, never seen this happen before.Keltainentoukokuu 01:47, January 27, 2012 (UTC)

I've seen it happen before. The problem is definitely with the absolute freaking behemoth of div codes and tables that makes up Sephy's stat page (I tested it myself by previewing without that ludicrous hunk of stats); there are either not enough closing divs or not enough table closers in the coding, and I'm leaning towards the former, since I personally checked the table closers but didn't think to check the divs. I guess I could go back through and look... I guess... but I really, really don't want to. >_< Oh, fine. Jimcloud 02:02, January 27, 2012 (UTC)
Fixed! I decided not to bother looking through to see which div it closed, so if anyone has enough time on their hands and self-loathing to figure that specific part out, they can feel free, but I am more than happy to leave it alone as it stands now. Jimcloud 02:06, January 27, 2012 (UTC)
Praise be to JC regardless. C A T U S E 03:29, January 27, 2012 (UTC)
As far as I'm concerned there should only be six closing divs. 3Tab, 3Tabber, 2Tab, 2Tabber, 1Tab, 1Tabber. There's probably something wrong somewhere else. But I checked and there's no broked code so I don't care.
One day I'll get round to making multi templates easier to implement... maybe. 79.69.193.122 15:23, January 27, 2012 (UTC)

Probably troll[]

I think the staff should consider banning 67.163.178.24 from further edits. He has twice made an irrelevant and extremely obnoxious edit to this page, and it is the only activity showing up on his log.IronGasoline (talk) 16:33, April 19, 2015 (UTC)

Three Party Stats - Script Error[]

The stats when viewing the three party stats don't show, with Script Error appearing instead. When viewing one or two party stats, everything works fine. --Kruggov (talk) 14:25, April 21, 2019 (UTC)

Rebirth/Reverse[]

This article asserts that the correct translation of the enemy's Japanese name is Rebirth Sephiroth, and the localization team made a mistake in reading it as "Reverse Sephiroth", thus the decision to go with the name Bizarro. However, I have to ask - how can we be sure this is the case? I feel like, given the enemy's design, there's a case to be made that "Reverse Sephiroth" could fit here just as well QHRvRICdalurIA (talk) 19:21, 25 August 2022 (UTC)

While both are indeed use interchangeably, Rebirth is likely the intended name, since Sephiroth has mentioned countless times during the story he intends to be reborn as a god and the name of his boss theme is Birth (誕生) of a God. Reverse doesn't fit in the context with the story. Reverse? Reverse of what lol? Besides it's kind of obvious the translation is a bit of a fumble, considering the other word mix ups in the title caused by similar katakana names, and well the bloody Japanese interpunct still being left in the name lol. However I do think the etymology should be changed in wording to sound less "this is def what happen and the translator def did this wrong lmao"! --Miphares (talk) 20:08, 25 August 2022 (UTC)
