General Edit

The "redundancy" that was removed came from the original wikipedia (always a good idea to check there when a big submission has been entered).

Bahamut SHIN Edit

I'm thinking it should be removed from this article, as this article is about the summon Bahamut and not Bahamut <something>. If we include Bahamut SHIN, we should also include NEO and ZERO. Any thoughts on this? --Hecko X 06:14, 29 August 2006 (UTC)

There is a Bahamut SHIN article. Both NEO and ZERO are included in the text for FFVII bahamut with links to their corresponding articles where more information is available. The article on Bahamut SHIN does offer (slightly) more (but possibly even more information in the future) on Bahamut and considering he is a bahamut, he deserves at least a small nod and a link, as he has now... thats my take on it anyway. --TacticAngel 07:08, 29 August 2006 (UTC)

Bahamut ZERO and N B. were mentioned because it had something directly to do with Bahamut: "It [Bahamut], along with Neo Bahamut, are required to unlock Bahamut ZERO". So it was practically what Bahamut could be used for (Poorly put, but do you understand what I mean?). My idea is, in the Bahamut article (this one), we remove the Bahamut SHIN part, and at the very top of the article is we put a link to a disembugation page for Bahamut, where all four Bahamuts are mentioned (with links to their respective pages of course). The top line would say something along the line of: "This article is about the summon Bahamut, for other versions of Bahamut summons, see <PAGENAME>" --Hecko X 10:52, 29 August 2006 (UTC)

I disagree. Since it's only a mention, and it is a form of Bahamut, it deserves a blurb here with a link to its own article. Or else, we could write:
{{main|Bahamut SHIN}}
Crazyswordsman 14:35, 29 August 2006 (UTC)

Okay, I'm starting to see the point, but if we let it stay, we should at least use the English name for it, like we did with Neo and ZERO, in stead of the Japanese "SHIN". On a sidenote, if anyone has played Bahamut Lagoon, Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars or Bahamut Senki, we should probably add his appearences there too (with pictures if possible) --Hecko X 15:36, 29 August 2006 (UTC)
I've played SMRPG, in which Bahamut was a boss. Crazyswordsman 16:08, 29 August 2006 (UTC)
As far as I have been able to understand, he is summoned by MagiKoopa, meaning that he is a summon, even though you have to fight him (something á la fighting a FFX summon, since they too are bosses, but summons as well). But that shouldn't matter, as he is the Bahamut created by Square for FF albeit a more red and cartoonish version (and with somewhat different abilities), hence it deserves to be properly mentioned. Same goes for the Bahamut in Bahamut Lagoon. As for the one in Bahamut Senki, I'm not quuuuite sure about its story, so I'll leave that to an "expert". --Hecko X 16:35, 29 August 2006 (UTC)

Lycentia's edit Edit

It messes up the page, but those Youtube videos are needed. Hmmmm.... --Crazyswordsman 23:34, 11 March 2007 (UTC)

I was trying to make them fit without removing the images. They just look so cool, I thought it would be nice to have the vids. What I couldn't believe, this guy has vids posted for ALL the summons from VII, VIII, IX, and X. Oh, the temptation. :P --Lycentia 23:39, 11 March 2007 (UTC)
Oh, definitely put them back. Just use Template:- for formatting. --Crazyswordsman 03:40, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
You know, I could make just make seperate video pages and link them. How that for an idea? --Lycentia 05:59, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
We could have an archive page that is linked to with all the Youtube videos that we could possibly use. Of course, it would need to be policed well or blocked for unregistered users to prevent abuse...--Goldberry2000 11:07, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
I'm guessing that some have yet to notice this... --Hecko X 14:37, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
When I posted, that was true. However, it was me who created the video catergory to keep them organised in the event of more being made. Touche :P--Goldberry2000 14:55, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
Note that "some" isn't the same as "all/everyone" (i.e. I did notice that you made a category). Touché back at ya, and croissant too ^_^ --Hecko X 15:08, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
I saw your page Hecko. That's what gave me the idea to do it with the others. And many thanks for making a category, Gold. But where to put it? Miscellaneous? Final Fantasy? --Lycentia 19:19, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
I would say... yes. --Hecko X 19:23, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
Oh sorry; I always forget that categories need categorising aswell.--Goldberry2000 20:43, 12 March 2007 (UTC)

ChocoboTales inclusion Edit

Something I've noticed is that none of the Summons that are in the game Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo Tales have any information on them when they are in that game. Yes, I know its just a card game, but it would be good for completion sake.--LaZodiac 23:12, 2 August 2007 (UTC)

Hey, you don't always have to ask for permission to do stuff. As cookieman says, BE BOLD. Good suggestion kid. --Auron Kaizer 23:45, 2 August 2007 (UTC)

Thanks. I'll try to find picks of there attacks, and I'd love for others to help me as I'm not that good at finding things. For now I'll just start making links in the summons I know are in that game (infact, afew of them might be bumped ot recurring summon thanks to that game)--LaZodiac 23:48, 2 August 2007 (UTC)

TALK - 13:45, 3 August 2007 (UTC)

Finally, someone else who has played it. I've got all the cards, including the Promos (legitimatly as well), so adding them seemed like the best thing. I even made a template, but without pictures I just didn't think it would look nice.

Go here to see my template.

Bahamut's FFX-2 info is missing a small detail Edit

Bahamut makes one more appearance in FFX-2 aside from the boss battle with his aeon form. During the game's ending, Bahamut's faythe form appears and offers Yuna the chance to bring Tidus back to Spira. I am surprised, honestly, that this detail is not mentioned in the Wiki. I could see why it is overlooked, but it still is somewhat of a flattering detail since Bahamut wasn't given much love in FFX-2 due to the party having to kill his aeon form. :(

If you know something's missing from the article and you know all about it, WHY DON'T YOU PUT IT IN YOURSELF? This is a wiki. Anyone can edit it. That's what wikis are all about.

Heh, I'll be more than happy to do it. I just wanted to see if someone else had input that would make it a moot point. Thanks for the encouragement! :) -- 09:03, 26 November 2007 (UTC)

Gestalt Mode Revealed Edit

The latest V-Jump reveals Bahamut's gestalt mode to be a flying dragon. Neat! The source is if anyone was curious. The Japanese text next to the picture clarifies that this isn't a jet or some other flying vehicle. Magugag 18:41, October 17, 2009 (UTC)

Have you notice that his summoning sequence is similar to his FFX summoning sequence

Final Fantasy XII Edit

TALK - 21:11, October 21, 2009 (UTC)
Out of curiosity, why is the Final Fantasy XII reference omitted? I understand that it might either be spoiler-related or irrelevant to the summon, but both the Ifrit and Shiva articles reference their respective allusions in that game.

It isn't omitted. Look again, top of the page. Drake Clawfang 21:48, October 21, 2009 (UTC)

Nevermind, I think I figured it out. I didn't know we had weekly articles before monthly ones. I thought somebody felt like vandalizing with that date.

Hem..... Edit

sorry have forgot to put "Bahamut Lagoon", a square snes game, in the Non-ff appearence!

Is the Golden Sun reference necessary? Edit

Just a minor question... Is it really necessary to mention Eclipse from The Lost Age on this page? Considering that the Golden Sun games were done many years before Crisis Core and Bahamut isn't even mentioned in the titles, it doesn't seem like Eclipse is connected, or a reference, to CC's version of the iconic FF summon. --Seraphim Swordmaster 18:34, February 1, 2010 (UTC)

I have to say that after looking at that section it's supposed to contain non FF appearences of 'Bahamut', so I dont think it belonges there, unless its called Bahamut in some translation of the game. Brago-77 19:13, February 1, 2010 (UTC)

Final Fantasy VII Edit

Anyone else think that a separate article should be made for all the FFVII Compilation Bahamuts? I mean, there's 3 separate versions of Bahamut, Neo, Zero, Sin/Tremor, and Fury, each one with their own stats and good sized chunk of info. It kind of takes up a bunch of space on the page. I just think that it would be better off having a page at least for just the original VII ones, transplant their info onto the new page, and have this page say something along the lines of "FFVII has 3 different versions of Bahamut, all obtainable as summons with different power levels" with a redirect to the main page. Lord Knight Xiron 22:17, March 11, 2010 (UTC)Lord Knight Xiron

I disagree. Removing just one game's versions of Bahamut feels arbitrary and clunky, no matter how inflated the FFVII Compilation is. This page has only thus-far used "see also" links for times Bahamut was an enemy, thus requiring an Enemy Infobox. - File:FFIII-nes-sage.gif Saethori (T / C) - 23:54, March 11, 2010 (UTC)

The Bahamut is the most epic sommon in final fantasy. lord zaeon

Lord of Arcana Edit

Bahamut is also appearing [1] in Lord of Arcana so, should the game be listed on this page.

Kingdom Hearts Re:coded Edit

This game includes modifications of the "Metal Chocobo" keyblade, a weapon based on Cloud's Buster Sword. Each upgrade to the sword is named after one of Bahamut's forms in the FF7 series.

    • メタルチョコボ (Metal Chocobo) [Bahamut]
    • メタルチョコボ改 (Metal Chocobo Kai) [Neo Bahamut]
    • メタルチョコボ烈 (Metal Chocobo Retsu) [Bahamut Fury]
    • メタルチョコボ震 (Metal Chocobo Shin) [Bahamut SIN]
    • メタルチョコボ零式 (Metal Chocobo Reishiki) [Bahamut ZERO]

For your information, if you want to mention it.(ಠ_ೃ) Bully! 02:52, October 19, 2010 (UTC)

Stub? Edit

Why is this article a stub--- <b>[[User:FF9|<font color="green">FF</font>]][[User talk:FF9|<font color="orange">9</font>]]</b> 16:20, December 16, 2010 (UTC)

It isn't. DoreikuKuroofangu - Visit the Soul Shrine! 16:15, December 16, 2010 (UTC)

In the bottom section of the page in categories it says.- FF9

That's because the Before Crisis part is marked as a section stub. DoreikuKuroofangu - Visit the Soul Shrine! 16:20, December 16, 2010 (UTC)

thanks for that i just got a little confused.- FF9

Neo, Zero, Sin, FuryEdit

Do the above mentioned Bahamuts really have to be on this page as opposed to having their own articles? I understand them being mentioned here, but I can't think of any other instance where we'd merge multiple completely different summons into one article. 17:57, June 20, 2011 (UTC)

I think FFVII Bahamuts could have a separate page because it looks quite gross and cluttered here, but I dunno what you would call it...Keltainentoukokuu 18:02, June 20, 2011 (UTC)
Sorry, I meant each one could simply have their own article. It's not like single-appearance summon articles have ever been a problem before. 18:04, June 20, 2011 (UTC)
Bahamut SIN used to have its article and it was deleted. So guess there is some idea behind this.Keltainentoukokuu 18:09, June 20, 2011 (UTC)

Stardust Dragon? Edit

Does anyone else think that stardust dragon from yugioh resembles Bahamut ZERO? I would like a second opinion because I think it does.--Gorea Core-X (talk) 15:28, April 27, 2015 (UTC)

TALK - 21:44, May 19, 2015 (UTC)
I suggest splitting the data up for each of the Bahamuts to their own pages. So, Bahamut obviously will stay here, but move all data for Neo Bahamut, Bahamut ZERO, Bahamut SIN, and Bahamut Fury to their own respective pages.

Policy basically says yes. I think we got a consensus somewhere, I just couldn't be bothered to split. I'm sure I've brought it up on talk pages like five times and in edit summaries ten.

Yes, split. JBed (talk) 22:00, May 19, 2015 (UTC)
