Talk:AVALANCHE

From Final Fantasy Wiki

What is up with the picture used for this? --Blykus 00:34, 17 January 2007 (UTC)

If it's fanart, it should go. Crazyswordsman 01:29, 17 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] ALL-CAPS

In recent official materials, such as FFVIIAC THE NOVEL (part of the Limited Edition Collector's Set) and DIRGE of CERBERUS's instruction manual, "AVALANCHE" has been rendered as "Avalanche", indicating a retcon (see: "WEAPON"). For accuracy, I intend to update all pages with this rendering, including a note of the old rendering in the introduction of this page. TJF588 16:13, 22 February 2009 (UTC)

No. I've never heard of "FFVIIAC: The Novel" (but its official you should be working on a page for that). And in Dirge of Cerberus, I never could say to have seen it written any other way than with all-caps. Before Crisis would solve it, but alas it will never be released on this side of the world. --BlueHighwind 16:18, 22 February 2009 (UTC)
EDIT: Not to mention that WEAPON to weapon wasn't a retcon, it seems to only be in my game and a few others. And SOLDIER remains SOLDIER in Crisis Core, so I have to doubt this one. --BlueHighwind 16:21, 22 February 2009 (UTC)
By the "novel," I believe he's referring to the book included with DVD set that compiles all three of the On the Way to a Smile novellas. I actually own that myself, although it'd be a bit of a chore to dig it out at the moment, most of my stuff is still in boxes from a recent move… –99.20.193.88 02:20, 7 March 2009 (UTC)
I'll only agree to a move if I see AVALANCHE spelt without the caps in a game. But my opinion isn't the only one. I can't fight it if majority rules against me. --BlueHighwind 03:27, 7 March 2009 (UTC)
