The spoiler tag on this is totally screwing up the viewability of this page on IE7. Just FYI. --TacticAngel 08:44, 23 December 2006 (UTC)
- I have no idea what IE7 is, but you need to get Firefox. Crazyswordsman 15:16, 23 December 2006 (UTC)
- IE7 is Internet Explorer 7. Internet Explorer is the most commonly used web browser on the internet. Formating for Internet Explorer is usually the #1 priority for any web-developer. I also have Firefox and Opera which I use to make sure that they display addiquately, since they both have display quirks, when I'm creating webpages (for other projects). Say what you will about IE, but you can't ignore the fact that pages that display poorly in it will display poorly for the vast majority of people who come across the page. --TacticAngel 22:11, 24 December 2006 (UTC)

| So, where'd the pantsless caped design come from? I know Kefka had some rare art of him in the green design seen in his overworld sprite (as opposed to the common red art used in his battle sprite)... is the same true of Celes with her bizarre 'new' design, or did the sprite team just decide to mysteriously disregard every single aspect of Celes when spriting her?

| But that makes no sense. Of all the NES-SNES games, 6 was the most accurate by far to art for every other character. And for the PSX remake, some characters got their outfits changed slightly (hi, Locke) to match their chibis/sprites even more... but Celes gained no aspects of her sprite, and stayed in her Kill Bill suit. What the fuck? Why does every character get consistency except her?

| That's what I mean. >_> Locke, Sabin, Terra, and Kefka have multiple outfits in their Amano art--their sprites and chibis are all drawn based on one of those, or occasionally a combination. The CGI in Anthology cemented this further, by mixing aspects of the sprites/chibis with the Amano art. Celes, on the other hand, has only one outfit in all of the art I've seen, identical to that in the CGI. So where'd the sprite design come from? The cutscene even shows scenes from during the game, in which she's wearing the "Kill Bill suit", despite her never wearing that in the course of the main game--so it's not just an issue of "she changed her clothes before the story started".
I suspect that somewhere, like Locke, Sabin, Terra, Kefka, and anyone else I missed, Celes must have an alternate Amano design--pantsless caped shoulder-padded etc. I just thought this might be a good place to look.

| Trust me. There isn't such a picture. If there's something I've done, and still do regularly, is looking for more Amano Artwork to add to the Wiki. An image like the one you talk about would've been found by now, I believe.

| Damn.. But, out of curiosity, had you seen the Cloud of Darkness art prior to the unveiling of Dissidia's redesign? As far as I know, that was the first time it's been seen outside of Squaresoft. And how about that art of Chaos holding the 'sands of time' used as the PSP FF1's XMD screen? That was never-before-released as well, unless I'm mistaken. So there's still a chance there's some Celes out there we don't know about...maybe...somewhere...

| I say it was because Terra and Celes' original art looked way too simmilar. But they went rather far...
But with the SNES's colour system, the yellow outfit would likely look silly with blonde hair.

- European version. --81.38.2.189 17:17, 17 May 2009 (UTC)
- And therefore the most perfected translation. Though, we use the US translation in all (possible) cases. Which is why Gilgamesh (Final Fantasy IV) isn't Gil Turtle. ILHI 17:20, 17 May 2009 (UTC)
- US translation > European translation? Why? European translation is the last English translation.--81.38.2.189 17:29, 17 May 2009 (UTC)
- But the wiki is written in US English, using UK English article titles wouldn't make sense. ILHI 17:33, 17 May 2009 (UTC)

You would block a page because of one vandal? 98.88.67.115 03:36, April 6, 2010 (UTC)
- One very persistent vandal. But yeah, the page should be unprotected now. Doreiku Kuroofangu 04:04, April 6, 2010 (UTC)
well I've gone to alot of celes sites and done a lot of reaserch
Edit
and celes' birthday is on march tenth, everything else you have is pretty solid but you don't have her birthday, one reason she's my favorite character is because I found out me and her have the same birthday, I saw that on an official celes fan site,
- "official celes fan site" is an oxymoron. Link to some of these sites please, so we can determine if they're reliable or not? Doreiku Kuroofangu 21:33, April 28, 2010 (UTC)
- EDIT - her birthday is already listed, so nvm, topic is pointless. Doreiku Kuroofangu 21:34, April 28, 2010 (UTC)
Major Character
Edit
I dont see the need of that considering that Terra & Locke who are ore vital to the story are labelled as playable characters
Protagonist in the World of Ruin
Edit
She isnt the protagonist of the World of Ruin, she only starts it, after getting the airship she doesnt absoulety nothing.
A protagonist hardly doesn nothing after a few hours.
La Celestina
Edit
Celes' name is probably a reference to LA CELESTINA. Obviously referencing Terra's original Tina name as well and their parallel development.
LA CELESTINA is one of the most famous Italian writings, which fits the European Renaissance art theme of FF6.
