Template:Sideicon Tabula Rasa is Scholar's Special Job Ability in Final Fantasy XI. It is only available to players with Scholar as their main job. When activated, it creates a special status effect of the same name for 1 minute. When active, the effect is similar to having both Light Arts and Dark Arts active at the same time, while eliminating the penalties involved with each ability. It is still necessary to use Light Arts and Dark Arts in order to access their respective Stratagems, however. Upon using Tabula Rasa, all Stratagem charges are instantly refilled. Additionally, all Stratagems can be used charge-free. After the Tabula Rasa status ends, the full set of charges (amount based on job level) will still be available for use.

Etymology
Tabula Rasa is Latin for "Tablet Erased." This represents the idea of a "Blank Slate" in modern English, or something that exists in a pristine state. It is most often used in modern English to refer to the political philosopher John Locke's idea that humans are born with no innate knowledge.
