The Swordmaster (ソードマスター, Sōdomasutā?) is an asterisk that appears in Bravely Second: End Layer. It is obtained after defeating Nobutsuna Kamiizumi.

The Swordmaster is a physical job focusing on countering enemy attacks, while reducing damage taken with their Bushido. Their innate ability is Counter, allowing them to counterattack when hit by physical attacks.

If hit by a physical attack during the turn this ability is used, halves the damage you sustain and counterattacks with double the damage of a conventional attack.
Also greatly increases your chance of being targeted by foes.

Katana Lore 2 Support 1 slot Raise katana proficiency to S.
Squeaky Wheel 3 Command 1 BP Reduce the target's BP by one. For certain foes, including bosses, the success rate falls to 30%.
Multitask 4 Support 1 slot Have a 33% chance to follow up with an additional attack when making a conventional attack.
Counter 5 Support 2 slots Have a 60% chance to counterattack when taking a single-target physical attack.
Does damage to a single target equal to a conventional attack.
This effect does not trigger for reflected attacks.
Before Swine 6 Command Triggers at start of turn.
If hit by a magic attack during the turn this ability is used, halves the damage you sustain and counterattacks for three times the damage of a conventional attack.
Also greatly increases your chance of being targeted by foes.
Does not apply to reflected magic damage.

Counter Amp 7 Support 1 slot Raise the damage dealt by counterattacks to 1.5 times normal.
The Worm Turns 8 Command Triggers at start of turn.
If hit by an enemy attack when your HP is below 20% of maximum, counterattack for 7.5 times the damage of a conventional attack.
Also greatly increases your chance of being targeted by foes.
Does not apply to reflected magic damage.

Redoubled Effort 9 Support 1 slot The higher your BP, the more the power of your physical attacks rises.
0 BP or less: no effect
1 BP: x1.1
2 BP: x1.21
3 BP: x1.33
4 BP: x1.46
Free Lunch 10 Command Spells you cast will consume no MP for two turns.

Eye for an Eye 11 Command Triggers at start of turn.
Whenever one of your allies takes damage, counterattack with a powerful physical attack.
