Summon (召喚魔法, Shōkan Mahō?, lit. Summon Magic) is an action ability in Final Fantasy Tactics usable by the Summoner job that allows the summoning of espers to aid allies in battle or deal massive amounts of damage. The summon abilities are characteristic for ignoring targets' Magick Evasion (with the exception of Carbuncle, Sylph, and Lich), larger effect area, and distinguishing between friend and foe, so the defensive abilities will only help the allies and offensive abilities will only hit the enemies. In exchange for the convenience, the MP cost and casting time are higher than other magick abilities.
