Staff

From Final Fantasy Wiki

Staff in Final Fantasy V.
For the wiki's staff, see: Project:Staff

Staves (つえ Tsue) are a recurring set of weapons from the Final Fantasy series. They are usually wielded by those who practice White Magic, while practitioners of Black Magic tend to wield Rods instead, though this relationship has been reversed in recent games like Final Fantasy IX and Final Fantasy XI. Recurring staffs are Rune Staff, Power Staff (which is more suited for improving Attack power), Healing Staff, and the Sage Staff, which is usually the ultimate of this weapon type.

Prominent staff users are Tellah, Porom, and Fusoya of Final Fantasy IV, Aeris of Final Fantasy VII, and Vivi of Final Fantasy IX.
