Sphere Break Tournament was first introduced in Chapter 3 of Final Fantasy X-2. It is held in Luca where the player can enter and get the prize, which is the Lady Luck dressphere. However, if the player loses three times the tournament will end.
Should the player win three matches, they will challenge Shinra in Sphere Break. However, his difficulty is the highest out of anyone the player challenges. Should he win, he still obtains the dressphere, refusing to hand it over.
In Chapter 5, it is possible to retrieve Lady Luck by challenging Shinra in Luca. However, it will be a far more difficult match, so it is advised to obtain this dressphere in Chapter 3.
