Sparna is an enemy type from Final Fantasy Mystic Quest. They are found in the Wintry Cave. Their Tornado attack is strong, and they can deal over a hundred damage to a party member. Offensively, they are weak to Phoebe's bow and can easily be killed with it.
Etymology
The English name is a mistranslation of Suparna. Suparna is one of many names attributed to Garuda. Garuda is a large, birdlike creature that appears in both Hinduism and Buddhism. It serves as Lord Vishnu's mount and is the Hindu name for the constellation Aquila. Contemporary representations of Garuda are the brahminy kite and phoenix.
