Added by XenomicSonic Boom (ソニックブーム, Sonikku Būmu?) is a recurring ability, both used by enemies and party members. It usually reduces a target's or targets' HP by a certain percentage.

Sonic Boom is an ability exclusive to the Gaia command. It reduces an enemy's HP by 1/4 of its total HP, and can be used in plains, towers, the Void, Castle Exdeath, Pyramid of Moore, Interdimensional Rift, Ship Graveyard, and Library of the Ancients.
Final Fantasy VI

Sonic Boom is an ability in Mog's Dance command, and is usable after learning Earth Blues; Gau can also use Sonic Boom by raging a Satellite. It reduces one enemy's HP by 37.5% of its max HP, inflicts Seizure and is unblockable, but fails on targets immune to instant death. An enemy attack with a similar graphic, Shamshir, halves the target's HP.
