Theatrhythm Final Fantasy description
"Somnus", also called "Somnus Nemoris", is the main theme of Final Fantasy XV. First heard in the debut trailer for Final Fantasy Versus XIII, the piece was composed by Yoko Shimomura and included on one of her albums, Drammatica.
"Somnus" opens with a somber piano melody. This is followed with Latin vocals contributed by Aundréa L. Hopkins.[1] Despite no longer being the theme song of Final Fantasy XV, it still maintains a key musical role in the game.[2]

Theatrhythm Final Fantasy
Template:Sideicon "Somnus" is used in a Field Music Sequence that is available as DLC. The background that appears during this FMS depicts a large city similar in appearance to Insomnia. Out of the 52 pieces available as DLC in Theatrhythm Final Fantasy, "Somnus" is the only one not used in the iOS version or sequel.
Etymology
Somnus means "sleep" in Latin. Somnus is also the name of the Roman personification of sleep, whose equivalent in Greek mythology is Hypnos. This is a possible reference to the logo of Final Fantasy XV, which depicts a sleeping person.
