Final Fantasy VI PlayStation Bestiary entry

The Soldier, also known as Grunt, is an enemy in the game Final Fantasy VI. Despite being fought, it has no in-game bestiary entry.

Soldier's sprite was identical to Imperial Soldier until the mobile releases where Soldier's sprite was shaded differently and given a dimmer palette.

The only thing these enemies do is attack the party with physical attacks, they do not pose much of a threat. They will die as long as the player's character are in the front row and uses normal attacks.

Etymology Edit

A soldier is one who fights as part of an organised, land based, sea based and air based armed force. A soldier can be an enlisted person, a non-commissioned officer, or an officer in the Army.

In military slang, a grunt is an infantryman.
