Slots (Final Fantasy VI)

Slots is the special ability of Setzer Gabbiani in Final Fantasy VI. The command consists of three spinning slot reels, which the player stops one by one. The outcome determines the attack Setzer uses. Slots are often rigged against the player, but knowledgeable players can rig Slots in their own favor so that they have a better chance of a favorable outcome, usually by using an Echo Screen at the start of battle before using Slot. The following is a description of the attacks Setzer can use with Slots. All custom Slot attacks are unblockable and are based on Setzer's magic power.

Any Losing Combination: Mysidian Rabbit (Lagomorph) Lagomorph
Restores small amount of HP to all allies and cures Blind, Poison and Sleep. Spell power is 10.


Three Diamonds: Prismatic Flash (7-Flush) Prismatic Flash
Deals non-elemental magic damage to all enemies. Spell power is 84.


Three Chocobos: Chocobo Stampede (Chocobop)
Deals non-elemental magic damage to all enemies. Spell power is 36, ignores defense and split damage. Flying enemies are immune.


Three Airships: Dive Bomb (H-Bomb)
Deals non-elemental magic damage to all enemies. Spell power is 130.


Three Dragons: Mega Flare (Sun Flare)
Summons Bahamut, who uses Mega Flare.


Three Bars: Summon
Summons a random Esper. Cannot summon Odin or Raiden.


Two 7s and a Bar: Joker Doom (Bad Version)
Kills all allies, ignores immunity to Instant Death. Strago learns Lv5 Death from this attack.


Three 7s: Joker Doom (Good Version)
Kills all enemies, ignores immunity to Instant Death. Cannot be used against certain enemy formations such as Ultros and Chupon as they won't allow the combination to be obtained. Strago learns Lv5 Death from this attack.
