Puts one foe to sleep.
Also known as SLP2 in the NES release and Sleep2 in the Final Fantasy Origins release, Sleepra is a level 4 Black Magic spell that inflicts Sleep on a single enemy. It has a very high success rate, with the target requiring immunity in order for the spell to miss.
Sleepra can be bought at Elfheim and can be learned by the Black Mage, Black Wizard, Red Mage, Red Wizard, and Ninja classes. In the GBA/PSP/iOS releases, it costs 15 MP to cast. Lich is the only enemy capable of casting this spell.
Sleepga is a Black Magic area effect spell that inflicts the Sleep status to all targets in range. It is available to Black Mages at level 32. Together with its upgraded version, Sleepga II, they provide the cornerstone of crowd control.
Sleepga is a Green Magick spell that casts Sleep to all targets in range for 26 MP. It is found in the License Board as Green Magick 7, the highest Green Magick License, and costs 105 License Points. The spell itself can be bought at Balfonheim for 7,900 gil.
In the International Zodiac Job System version Sleepga is relisted as a Black Magick spell. Its license, Black Magick 10, costs 90 LP, but the spell itself cannot be bought; it is found in a treasure in Giruvegan. Sleepga can be learned by two job classes: Black Mage and Red Battlemage, though the Red Battlemage can only learn it by obtaining the License for the Esper Cúchulainn first.
Sleepga has a base chance of 55% to inflict targets with Sleep, but the chance is affected by the caster's magick power and the target's vitality.
Puts target and enemies near it to sleep. Becomes less effective with every use on the same target.
Sleepga appeared as an ability in the original Final Fantasy XIV after the release of Patch 1.20. In the original, Sleepga was a Black Mage ability available at level 45. The ability inflicted the sleep status to an enemy and all nearby targets.
