Gravija.

Genais does most of the fighting, and while it is alive, the core will be out of range to melee attacks. When Genais withdraws into its shell, the core will charge energy and use Gravija on the party, while Genais uses Sigh to damage the party and inflict Darkness. Once Genais is slain, the core will freely use Gravija. The fight ends when the core is defeated, even should Genais still be alive.

Whenever the core is targeted, it may retaliate with a low-level Black Magic spell on the party, in the order of Fire, Blizzard, Thunder, and Water. The core has a higher chance of casting them the lower its HP is. Targeting the core may also cause it to retaliate with Negation, which takes priority over the elemental spells. The chance of it being used depends on its counter, which increases by 3 for each of Armor Break and Mental Break, 1 for each instance of Shell and Reflect on the party, 2 for each instance of Haste, 1 if Protect is on the rightmost party member, and 2 if Protect is on the leftmost party member. 3 is subtracted from the sum total, which is then divided by 8 to give the percentage chance. The counter is recalculated every time the core has a turn, and the core can use Negation anywhere from one to six times in a row, with three point intervals for each.
