Silver Equipment (ぎん, Gin?) is a recurring set of equipment in the series. A localization of Mythril in the American versions of early installments of the series, It is often a mid-ranked set, though few in numbers and not nearly as iconic as Flame Equipment, Ice Equipment, Genji Equipment, or Dragon Equipment. There is at least one armor in each game that is of this set, though there have been other types of equipment that fall into this set, including Gloves, Helmets, Weapons, and some Accessories.

AppearancesEdit

Final FantasyEdit

Later renamed to Mythril, the weapons included a Silver Knife, Silver Sword, and Silver Hammer. The sole armor that represents this set is the Silver Armlet.

Final Fantasy IIEdit

Silver Cuirass is the only representation of Silver Equipment.

Final Fantasy IVEdit

Again, later renamed to Mythril, the weapons includes Silver Sword, Silver Hammer, Silver Dagger, and Silver Staff. Armor includes Silver Armlet, Silver Gloves, Silver Armor, Silver Helmet, and Silver Shield, also later renamed to Mythril.

Final Fantasy IV -Interlude-Edit

The Silver Armlet makes a return in the sequel to Final Fantasy IV with the same stats.

Final Fantasy IV: The After YearsEdit

The Silver Armlet returns in The After Years with the same stats.

Final Fantasy VEdit

Silver Bow and Silver Harp represent weapons, while Silver Plate represents armor. Silver Specs and Silver Armlet represent Accessories. Silver Harp is unique in that the damage it deals to a target is equal to 1/16 of the target's current HP.

Final Fantasy VIEdit

Silver Spectacles represents Silver Equipment.

Final Fantasy VIIEdit

Silver Armlet represents Armor, while Silver Glasses represent Accessories. Weapons include Silver Barette, Silver Rifle, and Silver M-Phone.

Crisis Core -Final Fantasy VII-Edit

Silver Armlet is the only Silver Equipment in the game.

Dirge of Cerberus -Final Fantasy VII-Edit

Silver Model Gun is the representative of Silver Equipment.

Final Fantasy IXEdit

Silver Fork represents Weapons, while Silver Gloves represent Armor.

Final Fantasy XEdit

Any armor can gain the Silver moniker by having either "Defense +10%" or "Defense +20%" as its dominant ability. Armor includes Silver Shield, Bracer, Targe, Guard, Bangle, Ring, and Armlet.

Final Fantasy X-2Edit

Silver Bracer and Silver Glasses represent Silver Equipment. Silver Bracer increases max MP by 40% and Silver Glasses prevents Blind.

Final Fantasy XIEdit

Silver is a basic Goldsmithing material, used in the creation of many types of equipment and currencies. It is typically ranked between Copper/Bronze and Mythril in value.

Final Fantasy XIIEdit

Silver Bow is the only representative of Silver Equipment in Final Fantasy XII.

Final Fantasy XII: Revenant WingsEdit

Silver Staff is the only weapon for Silver Equipment, and is exclusive to Penelo. It uses a generic staff sprite during battle. Silver Chestplate is the only armor, and is exclusive to Vaan. Silver Earrings is an accessory for Filo that increases the team's Speed.

Final Fantasy XIIIEdit

Silver Bangle is an accessory that increases HP by 100 to 180, depending on its level, and is gotten through upgrading the Iron Bangle. It can be upgraded to the Tungsten Bangle by using the Rhodochrosite. The Silver Bangle can also be bought from B & W Outfitters in the Retail Network for 800 gil.

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a KingEdit

Silver Mail is the only representative of the Silver Equipment in this game. It is a high-ranked armor, usable at level 50, and provides 54 Defense. It is bought for 931 gil.

Final Fantasy AdventureEdit

Silver Sword is the sole representative of Silver Equipment in terms of weapons, and has an attack power of 13, and can be bought for 562 gil at the Dwarf Cave. Other Silver Equipment include Silver Helmet, Silver Armor, and Silver Shield, all being the third weakest of their types.

Final Fantasy Legend IIEdit

The armor is called Silver and it has a body armor icon before its name. It can be bought in Giant's Town for 2100 GP. It provides a Def of 7 and add 27 HP to Robots and increases their Def by 6. Another piece of Silver equipment with gauntlet icon before its name. It can be bought in Desert Town for 700 GP or found in Ashura's Base. It provides a Def of 2 and add 27 HP to Robots and increases their Def by 6. The third piece of Silver equipment with helmet icon before its name. It can be bought in Desert Town for 1400 GP.

It provides a Def of 4 and add 27 HP to Robots and increases their Def by 6. The fourth piece of Silver equipment has a shield icon before its name. It can be bought in Desert Town for 1400 GP and can also be found in Ashura's Tower. It has 50 uses, blocks melee and Ston with 60% chance of success, adds 27 HP to Robots, and increases their Def by 6.

Final Fantasy Legend IIIEdit

The Silver Sword, Silver Shield, Silver Armor, Silver Helmet, Silver Glove, Silver Armor, and Silver Glove makes an appearance in the game. They are all very low ranked equipment.

Dissidia 012 Final FantasyEdit

The Silver Bangles appear as a level 1 Bangle that provides +158 HP and +10 Defense, and can be obtained by trading 4,400 gil, while the Silver Chest Plate is a level 1 Chestplate that provides +779 HP, +43 Bravery, and -2 Defense. It can be obtained by trading 7,000 gil. The Silver Vest is a level 1 Light Armor that provides +1,155 HP and +20% Wall Rush Bravery Defense. It is found in the Labyrinth. The Silver Rifle is a level 100 weapon that can only be obtained through a drop from a public Friend Card. It provides -328 HP, +79 Brave, +68 Attack, -1 Defense, and Magic Damage -100%.

Final Fantasy Airborne BrigadeEdit

The Silver Bow and Silver Harp appear as a weapon in Final Fantasy Brigade. The Silver Bow's normal rarity version has, at its base, an Attack bonus of 210 and a Defense bonus of 230. It has a maximum level of 20 and a Cost of 3. It is classified as a Bow, and its leveling rate is normal. The Silver Harp's normal rarity version has a base attack bonus of 260, a base defense bonus of 250, a maximum level of 20, and a cost of 4. The normal plus version has a base attack of 440, a base defense of 430, a maximum level of 40, and a Cost of 6. Both versions of the Silver Harp are classified as a musical instrument, and both have a fast leveling rate.
