Silver Dragon, also known as Ging-Ryu or SilverDrag, is an enemy in Final Fantasy IV. It appears on the moon in the Lunar Subterrane during the last stages of the game, usually alongside Gold Dragons.

Battle Edit

The main strategy for beating this enemy is to simply have everyone attack. Summoning Bahamut or Leviathan can also eliminate the dragon.

Like their cousin, the Gold Dragon, Silver Dragons may drop extremely valuable consumable items, such as Lunar Curtains.

Etymology Edit

Silver is a chemical element with the chemical symbol Ag and atomic number 47. A soft, white, lustrous transition metal, it possesses the highest electrical conductivity of any element and the highest thermal conductivity of any metal.

Silver often carries connotations of "second-best," especially when contrasted with gold.

A dragon is a legendary creature, typically with serpentine or reptilian traits, that features in the myths of many cultures.

Ryū (?, ?, or りゅう?) is Japanese for "dragon". This is often used to specifically refer to a Japanese dragon.
