Silencega (サイレガ, Sairega^?), also known as Fogga (フォーガ, Fōga^?), is a recurring spell from the Final Fantasy series. It is an upgraded area of effect form of Silence.

AppearancesEdit

Final Fantasy XIEdit

Silencega is a spell only used by certain Notorious Monsters, such as Dynamis Lord and Bahamut. It is also considered White Magic instead of Black in FFXI, as is the regular Silence.

Final Fantasy XIIEdit

Silencega is a Green Magick spell, which can be used after obtaining its Green Magick 5 License. It casts Silence on all targets in range. It can bought in Archades for 6,800.

In the International Zodiac Job System version, Silencega is Black Magick 8 License. It costs 70 LP and consumes 22 MP. The spell cannot be bought and can only be found in the Necrohol of Nabudis' Hall of Effulgent Light. The job classes that can learn Silencega are Black Mage and Uhlan, although Uhlan must first obtain the Esper Chaos and the Black Magick 7 Licenses first.

Silencega has a base chance of 55% to inflict targets with Silence, but the chance is affected by the caster's magick power and the target's vitality.

Final Fantasy XII: Revenant WingsEdit

Silencega is learned by enemy Black Mages at level 24. The spell deals the Silence status to a group of opponents.

Final Fantasy XIIIEdit

Fogga is an area of effect spell that deals moderate damage and inflicts the Fog status, which prevents enemies from casting magic. It is an ability available to the Saboteur role, and only Snow, Hope, and Fang may learn it.
