Shuriken (Weapon)

Shuriken, also known as Stars, are throwing weapons that appear in various games in the series. They can usually be thrown by Ninjas. A common upgrade to the Shuriken is the Fuma Shuriken.

The Ninja Job can equip Shurikens in the NES version and may only throw them in the Nintendo DS remake.

Edge can throw the following stars:
- Shuriken
- Ninja/Fuma Shuriken
- Spoon/Knife
Fuma Shurikens and Normal Shurikens can be bought at Kokkol's Smithy from the dwarf near the stairs after obtaining Excalibur

The Shuriken and Cross Shuriken can be thrown with the Throw command. The Shuriken command available to Gekkou allows him to throw a Shuriken. The Knife returns, and is dropped by Ultros.

Shurikens and Fuma Shurikens can be bought at Lix in World 1 and Quelb in worlds 2 and 3.

Yuffie Kisaragi uses large Shuriken as her weapons, but they act as boomerangs instead of actual Shuriken.

Shuriken (Female), one of the playable characters, known as Shizune or Cissnei in Crisis Core, uses a large Shuriken, called Rekka, as her default weapon.

Shuriken are a type of Throwing weapon, but can only be used by Ninjas.
Oddly, there is a lack of real Shuriken, with more throwing weapons than ninja stars:

- Koga Shuriken

The Shuriken appears as an Artifact. It raises the possessor's Strength by 1.

Tristam throws Shuriken, called Throwing Stars in the game, as his base weapon. They have limited ammunition and do additional, "shoot-type" damage to enemies weak against it.

Throwing Weapons are a weapon type in Dissidia, and are equippable by Onion Knight, Squall, and Zidane by default. Mediocre in strength, they all reduce the Brave stat.
