|Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings Enemy|
- “Shiva's cold-hearted paramour.”
Shivarダーリンシヴァ (Dārin Shiva?, lit. Darling Shiva) is an Esper in Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings. He is the Rank II Water Ranged summon and costs 18 Affinity Points to summon. His normal attack, Blizzard, deals Water damage to one foe. His special, Absolute Zero, inflicts Stop on one foe. He is one of the unique Water-types in that he is really an Ice-type, and therefore is weak to Fire instead of Thunder.
Shivar is described as being Shiva's lover. He is similar to Shiva in terms of appearance and powers, the only major difference being that he is male. This may allude to the Hindu God Shiva's dual gender.
Shivar has the Attack Speed of 36 to 50, an impressive growth for a ranged attacker. His time between attacks is between 2.5 seconds and 1.86 seconds (simplified calculation). His basic attack attribute is magickal, so he uses his Magick stat. If silenced, Shivar will be unable to attack. His hit style is direct shot, which means it hits and stops at any target within the attack's range. His Absolute Zero spell inflicts Stop on the target regardless of space. As long as the target is within Shivar's sight, it will hit since it uses no space.
Shivar has an impressive growth for time between actions. If buffed with Haste or Berserk his attack is incredibly fast (his final Attack Speed pulverizes all of the Ranged Water Espers), yet may be as collective as Shiva in that situation. He has a high Magick Defense growth. His Absolute Zero inflicts Stop, highly favorable when used against enemy Party Leaders for their seamless range.
Shivar, one stone's throw better than Shivan in Stamina and Defense, has a comparably weak Defense growth to be almost parring with Shivan's, placing him in the category 'susceptible to Melee attacks'. His Absolute Zero magick is seamless, although favorable to use since it has indefinite hit range. If the player makes several Shivars attack a single unit, all will attack a single target and inflict it with the Stop status, a status that does not stack.
