Shellga

Shellga is a form of White Magic. It is a recurring spell throughout the series. It provides protection versus magical attacks, generally, but not always, halving magical damage. It is similar to Shell but it grants the effect to all party members, or in games where spacing is important, all party members within range of the spell caster.

Shellga is a Green Magick spell that casts Shell upon the whole party. It can be bought in Balfonheim after the Pharos at Ridorana event. Its license, Green Magick 7, costs 105 LP.

In the International Zodiac Job System version, Shellga is a White Magick spell, its license being White Magick 12 that costs 110 LP. The spell itself cannot be bought, and only found in the Great Crystal in Giruvegan. Three job classes can use it: White Mage, Monk, and Shikari. Monk must acquire the Esper CĂșchulainn License and Shikari the Esper Chaos and White Magick 11 Licenses first.

Shellga is a spell only Basch can cast. It casts Shell on a group of allies.

Shell 2 or Shellja is a spell that casts Shell in a standard cross-shaped area. Only a White Mage can learn this ability for 600 JP. It costs 20 MP to use and has a speed of 15. In the PS1 version, there is a chance that the caster will say, upon using this spell: "Enduring light, shield from roaring magic! Shell2!"
