Shambling Corpse (コープス, Kōpusu?, lit. Corpse), also known as Karkass and Corpse, is a recurring enemy in the series. It first appeared in Final Fantasy VI.

Shambling Corpse is an enemy fought at Zone Eater's Belly. It uses strong magic—such as Thundaga, Break, and Flare—can inflict Imp with Figaro Malt, and drain HP with Lifeshaver as a counter to attacks.

Final Fantasy XII

Main article: Shambling Corpse (Final Fantasy XII)

Shambling Corpse is an enemy fought at Zertinan Caverns (Athroza Quicksands), spawning in the area where Adrammelech is fought. They use various level 2 elemental spells as well as the deadly Cloying Breath, and attack in large groups.
