AP cost for dark magic reduced by one!
The Shaman reduces the AP cost for using Dark Magic by one, and they have a high Intellect attribute. The Shaman allows Dark Magic to be more effective on harder enemies and bosses. Their first abilities, Ritual and Hex, allow status-reducing spells to be used on all enemies and have a higher chance of working.
Shaman is a good job when equipped with Drain. Drain isn't weaker than other spells, as opposed to most other Final Fantasy games, and when used coupled with Ritual and Hex, the Shaman can drain HP from all opponents, meaning they are unlikely to need healing. The Shaman's ultimate ability, Forbidden Art, is best used with the Old Shoes accessory that lets the Shaman always act last, and when someone else has the Hermes Sandals equipped, to let them act first on the next turn.
