Serah learns abilities in Final Fantasy XIII-2 through the Crystarium system.

CommandoEdit

Ability Level Description ATB Cost
Attack Default The basic physical assault move of the Commando. The Strength stat determines the level of damage inflicted. 1
Ruin Default Inflicts non-elemental magic damage on a single target. 1
Blitz 4 Inflicts physical damage on all adversaries in range. Best used against targets at or near the center of tightly packed groups of enemies. 2
Powerchain 8 If the enemy's Chain Gauge is empty when the Commando's attack lands, Powerchain strengthens the blow, granting almost double damage. Auto
Blindside 11 Almost doubles the damage dealt by normal attacks when a non-Staggered adversary is not targeting a party member who has this skill. Working alongside a Sentinel increases the likelihood of obtaining a regular Blindside bonus. Auto
Scourge 15 Modifier of normal Attack increases to 5.0 when an enemy is poised to recover from a Stagger. Auto
Launch 20 Used automatically when the Attack command is selected against a Staggered enemy. By chaining moves on an opponent while they are airborne, it is possible to "juggle" them with further hits. Auto
Smite 26 Modifier of normal Attack increases to 5.0 when a Launched enemy is poised to recover from a Stagger. Auto
Ruinga 33 Same effects as Ruin, but acts as a more powerful area-effect upgrade. 3
Ravage 38 A staple of Chain-building, used to enable Ravagers to blast the Chain Gauge high and Commandos to reduce the rate of gauge depletion. Auto
Jeopardize 50 Boosts by 1% the amount by which an attack raises a Staggered enemy's Chain Bonus. Auto

Flamestrike 6 Physically attacks a target with a blow infused with the Fire element. 1

Blizzard 10 Deals Ice damage to target. 1
Aero 12 Deals Wind damage to target and temporarily stun it. 1
Fira 16 Deals Fire damage to targets in range, staggered targets take more damage. 2
Thundara 18 Deals Lightning damage to targets in range, staggered targets take more damage. 2
Froststrike 23 Physically attacks a target with a blow infused with the Ice element. 1
Galestrike 25 Physically attacks a target with a blow infused with the Wind element. 1
Fearsiphon 31 Recharges 0.1 ATB gauge segment per attack on a Staggered target. Auto
Firaga 38 Deals Fire damage to targets within a wide radius. 3
Thundaga 41 Deals Lightning damage to targets within a wide radius. 3
Overwhelm 50 Increases the Chain Bonus by 1% for each ally targeting the same enemy. Use Paradigms with more than one Ravager to make best use of its effects - particularly the all-RAV Tri-disaster. Auto
Vigor 60 Increases the Chain Bonus by 1% when HP is above 70%. Similar to the Commando's Adrenaline Auto ability, but even more useful for a Ravager. Auto

Provoke Default Entice enemies in range to attack you. 1
Steelguard 3 Defend, boosting physical and magic resistance each time you are attacked. 1
Element Guard 10 When defending, enhance all allies' resistance to elemental damage. 1
Fringeward 18 Reduce damage to nearby allies when you are the target of an area attack. Auto
Vendetta 26 Counter attack after guarding. The more damage you take, the more damage you deal to the enemy in return. 1
Deathward 33 Bolster attack and defense when health is low. Auto
Reprieve 50 If HP is above a certain threshold, retain 1 HP when an attack would otherwise KO user. Auto

Deprotect Default Reduce a target's physical resistance by 30% and deals magic damage. 1
Deshell 3 Reduce a target's magic resistance by 30% and deals magic damage. 1
Wound 6 Deal Wound damage to a target, reducing its maximum HP. 1
Poison 9 Poison target and deal magic damage (0.75% of max HP per second). 1
Dispel 13 Remove a target's most recent status enhancements and deals magic damage. 1
Imperil 18 Reduces a target's elemental resistance and deals magic damage. 1
Deprotega 25 Reduces physical resistance by 30% and deals magic damage within a wide radius. 3
Deshellga 28 Reduces magic resistance by 30% and deals magic damage within a wide radius. 3
Woundga 32 Deals Wound damage to targets in a wide radius, reducing their maximum HP. 3
Poisonga 35 Poisons and deals magic damage to targets within a wide radius. 3
Dispelga 39 Removes the most recent status enhancement and deals magic damage to all targets within a wide radius. 3
Imperilga 41 Reduces elemental resistances and deals magic damage within a wide radius. 3
Jinx 50 Extends the duration of a target's existing status ailment by 5 seconds once new debuffs are inflicted. Auto

SynergistEdit

Protect Initial Raises the target's resistance to physical attacks by 25%. 2
Shell 8 Raises the target's resistance to magic attacks by 25%. 2
Veil 18 Raises the target's status ailment resistance by 50%. 2
Vigilance 30 Decreases a target's odds of being interrupted, and reduces Wound damage sustained. 2

MedicEdit

Ability Level Description ATB Cost
Cure Default Restores the target's HP. Cure's actual restorative value is dependent on the Bonus Boost and Magic stat of the Medic. 1
Esuna 10 Removes the target's most recently inflicted status ailment. 2
Curasa 20 Curasa restores more HP when a character is heavily injured, with its effects reduced as they approach full health (when Cure becomes more efficient in terms of ATB cost per HP points replenished). 1
Raise 30 Revives an ally from KO. Health restoration is relatively low, so you must be ready to follow up with curative spells. 3
