The Sequence (セクエンス, Sekuensu?), also called Sequencer, is a recurring weapon in the Final Fantasy series. It is a powerful Sword.

Appearances Edit

Final Fantasy XI Edit

XI Sequence is an Aeonic Weapon, one of the game's five types of ultimate weapons. It is a one-handed sword with Item Level 119 equippable by Red Mages, Paladins, and Blue Mages. It has a damage of 168, a weapon delay of 240, and offers the following bonuses:

  • Magic Damage+186
  • Sword skill +269
  • Parrying skill +269
  • Magic Accuracy skill +242
  • Store TP +10
  • TP Bonus +500 (that is, Weapon Skills performed with the weapon are treated as if the wielder's TP was 500 higher than it actually is)
  • Ability to use the weapon skill Requiescat
  • Aftermath: Increases Skillchain and Magic Burst potency
  • Ability to perform the Ultimate Skillchains, Radiance and Umbra

Like all aeonic weapons, to obtain the Sequence the expansion Final Fantasy XI: Rhapsodies of Vana'diel must be completed, and the game's most powerful Notorious Monsters must be defeated without use of Primeval Brew.

Final Fantasy Tactics Advance Edit

TA Sequence is a Knight sword with Attack 32, Defense +2, Magic +5, Resistance +2, +2 Speed, +2 Evasion, +1 Move, and +1 to Jump. These stats are only the base, as every time the player obtains the Sequence, its stats increase rather than getting another copy of the weapon. The Sequence is obtained from Co-Op missions or getting the highest score in Counter-Op missions, both of which require that the player link their Game Boy Advance with that of another player with the link cable.

Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift Edit

TA2 Sequencer is a knight sword with attack 32, defense +2, magick +5, resistance +2, jump +1, evasion +2, and speed +2. These stats are only the base, as every time the player gets an Opportunity Command, the attack increases by 1 to a maximum of 131. It is obtained from quest "Red King of Cinquleur".
