Scylla is a boss in Final Fantasy III. Once she is defeated the party recieves the Elder Staff. Scylla's main form of attacking is by using high level spells such as Holy and Flare, many of which can deal heavy damage to the party if they are underlevelled. She doesn't have a weakness so using strong attacks and well timed healing is essential to winning.
[edit] Etymology
Scylla was a monster in Ancient Greek mythology. She lived on one side of a narrow channel, and devoured sailors if they passed near her. She had six heads, each equipped with razor sharp teeth.
