Scarletite is a component that sells for 7000 gil and can be bought from The Motherlode for 100,000 gil after chapter 11. It is a rare frop from Sacrifice (5%) and Adamanchelid (1%). Scarletite can be found in treasure boxes in the Central Expanse area of the Archylte Steppe, and the Tesseracts area of Orphan's Cradle.

It can be obtained from completing the missions "Pirate Problems", "Survey No. 261", "Ravager", "My Little Carrot", and "Rancher's Request - White", and as a medium to high level loot drop. It sells for 2,800 gil.
