Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow. (Skip section)

Upon being cursed by the demon Garuda, disguised as Gigameth, King Gorn gives rise to the Saronia Civil War, which turns the Saronian army against itself. As the Light Warriors arrive to Saronia aboard the Enterprise, it is caught by the crossfire and crashes in the battlefield before Castle Saronia.

On foot, they head to the Southwest section of the city, where at the inn they meet a kid being bullied by grunts. After protecting him and defeating the grunts, they meet Prince Alus of Saronia, heir to the kingdom, who has been driven away of the castle by his father. Alongside him, they head to the castle, so as to meet his father and understand the reason of all this confusion.

They are asked to spend the night at the castle, but during the night, King Gorn is manipulated by Gigameth into killing his own son. However, he stabs himself, in order to break Gigameth's control. Gigameth then transforms into Garuda and attacks the Warriors of Light. After defeating it, the Warriors of Light watch Alus' coronation ceremony, and are awarded the airship Nautilus.

Trouble with the audio sample?

"Salonia" or "Megalopolis Saronia" (巨大都市サロニア Kyodai Toshi Saronia "Giant Metropolis Salonia") is the background music that plays throughout all of the areas of Saronia. However, after the defeat of Garuda, the background music of the town areas changes to "Return of the Warrior".
