Template:Sideicon Mog leads Wol to the lower levels of the Runic Temple where the duo encounters a large crystal. The moogle asks the Blank to touch it and in doing so an image of Sarah appears inside. The girl introduces herself as the princess of Cornelia and speaks briefly of a prophecy. She asks Wol if he'll accept it and when the man agrees she bestows upon him a power of the House Cornelia and soon after disappears. Mog elaborates that the given power is teleporting and that the princess is in a far away place, but using the newly obtained power will prove useful in reaching her.

When Wol finally reaches Sarah's castle, and drives back the forces of Chaos assaulting it, he is able to meet her face to face. Sarah reveals that the final part of the prophecy of the Warrior of Light states that after defeating Chaos, the Warrior of Light is destined to wed her. She explains that she had always been worried about that portion of the prophecy, but after meeting Wol, she would be happy if it were him. When it comes time for Wol to move on to the next region, she declares that she will wait for him to return. However, she surprises him by meeting him at the Teleport Stone, stating that if she is going to have to wait for him to defeat Chaos, she would rather do it by his side than at the castle. Though he is initially taken aback, Wol accepts her as a companion, and they use the Teleport Stone to leave the region together.

Etymology

The name Sarah, (שָׂרָה in Hebrew) is the Hebrew name for "princess", or a woman of high rank.

Cornelia is a feminine form of the name Cornelius, which is possibly derived from the Latin word cornu which means "horn".

Sarah continues the tradition of princesses named "Sarah". Her last name, Cornelia, derives from the city of same name in the original Final Fantasy, homeland of the first princess Sarah.
