"Safe and Sound" is a new ending theme created for Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete. It is sung by Kyosuke Himuro, who performed the original theme song, "Calling", and Gerard Way of My Chemical Romance fame. Drums are performed by Josh Freese (Nine Inch Nails), bass is done by Dan Rothchild, and guitar by Tim Pierce. Oddly enough, the song was only used in the Japanese release of Advent Children Complete, with all international versions using the original "Calling" theme, even though "Safe and Sound" is presented in English, whereas as "Calling" is presented in Japanese.
A part of the song was used in the second trailer for Advent Children Complete.
The song has been available on iTunes since April 29th 2010.
