Template:Sideicon Template:See Also Rush Assault is a Limit Break-esque ability for Zack, obtained at the start of the game. It is used when Angeal Hewley's portrait lines up in the reel during modulating phase.
Rush Assault deals non-elemental physical damage while ignoring the target's Vitality, with the final hit inflicting Stun, and also may grant Endure to Zack. The attack hits up to three times with different attack power, and each hit will hit a random enemy. The power of the first hit is 7 at level 1, and increases by 1 per level up to 11, while the second hit has a power of 12 at level 1, 18 at level 2, 20 at level 3, 24 at level 4, and finally 32 at level 5. Level 5 increases the Emotion Gauge by 1 level.
The Rush Assault Independent Materia boosts the chance for Angeal's portraits to line up. It begins at 5x, increases by 1x each level up to 9x. It is a level 8 materia bought from Research Dept. QMC+.
