Ruby Armlet, also known as Ruby Ring and Ruby Cuirass, is a recurring armor in the series. It is often a low-ranked armor that has no special properties.

Ruby Armlet is a mid-ranked armor that can be used by all Jobs. It is bought in Gaia, though one can be found in the Citadel of Trials. It provides +24 Defense and +1 Weight.

Ruby Cuirass is a mid-ranked armor that can be bought on the Tropical Island for 800 gil. It provides +15 Defense, -5% Evasion, and +5% Magic Evasion.

Ruby Ring is a low-ranked armlet that can be used by anyone and can be acquired through various means. It provides +3 Magic Defense, +2 Magic Evasion, and resistance to Pig.

The Ruby Ring provides the exact same bonuses as it did in Final Fantasy IV.

The Ruby moniker is added to a character's armor when the dominant ability is any four of the "Magic Defense +%" abilities. The different armors that gain this moniker are the Ruby Armlet, Shield, Bracer, Bangle, Ring, Armguard, and Targe.

The Ruby Ring is an accessory in Final Fantasy XII. It gives its wielder the Reflect status permanently.

Ruby Chestplate is a mid-ranked armor for Vaan. It provides +36 Defense, +24 Magic Defense, and resistance to Fire-elemental attacks.
