The Ruby's Tentacle is a boss in Final Fantasy VII. Ruby's Tentacles are the tentacles of Ruby Weapon that appear behind the players when Ruby Weapon chooses to. Two can appear at a time. The attacks of the tentacles are controlled by Ruby Weapon, so attacks from them are counted as Ruby Weapon's. When Ruby Weapon has a tentacle out, it cannot use certain attacks because its arms are occupied to have the tentacles out.

As you cannot target Ruby Weapon and its tentacles, they cannot be taken out at the same time. Ruby Weapon can summon forth his tentacles infinite times throughout the battle even if they have been destroyed. They aren't as big of a threat as Ruby itself, and you can concentrate most of your fighting towards Ruby Weapon as defeating it ends the battle.
