The Round Shield (ラウンドシールド, Raundo Shīrudo?) is a recurring shield in the series that is often a low-ranked shield, providing little Defense and having no special abilities.

Final Fantasy XIEdit
The Round Shield is a shield in Final Fantasy XI, equippable by Warriors, White Mages, Red Mages, Thieves, Paladins, Beastmasters, and Samurai at level 61. It has a Defense of 9. It can be crafted via Synthesis as well as purchased in Aht Urhgan and Kazham. Its high quality version, obtainable only via crafting, has a defense of 10.
Final Fantasy XIIEdit
The Round Shield is a low-ranked shield that provides 14 Evade. It requires the Shields 2 license and 20 LP to use, and is bought at Rabanastre for 1,600 gil.

Round Shield is the second weakest shield in the game, trumped by the Bronze Shield. It provides 4 Magic Resistance and 5 Evade, and teaches the ability Shieldbearer to the Sage, Fencer, and Mog Knight Jobs for 300 AP. It can be bought from liberated towns for 850 gil and from occupied towns for 900 gil.
Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the RiftEdit
Round Shield returns as the second weakest shield and provides 2 Resistance and 7 Evasion. It teaches the ability Shieldbearer to both the Sage and Moogle Knight for 150 AP. It can be bought for 800 gil in the shop after creating it in the Bazaar after using a Cruzle Brass, Quality Pelt, and Lamia Scale.
