"They say that wicked creatures prowl the road along this beautiful riverbank, but nobody has ever seen one.

I once asked a man why. He simply replied, "Because anyone who happens upon one is promptly eaten!"

But it is long since anyone has met such a fate. For nowadays, people take another route, far away from the spooky old road.

Only we walk the old way now... travellers in crystal caravans.
"
—Narration, Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles

The River Belle Path is located in the middle of the Tipa Peninsula. Bypassed by the newer highway to the west, the Path is only visited by crystal caravanners. The area is populated entirely by monsters, including mus, goblins, and hedgehog pies, although a couple of moogles are seen to have created a home for themselves in a secluded spot, and of course the moogle who will stamp your card for Blazin' Caravans.

At the far end of the path lies a cave leading to a beautiful waterfall that creates a rainbow with the reflected sunlight, behind which lurks the Giant Crab who guards the local Myrrh Tree.

"I wound my way through the vivid green hills, and followed the path to reach the River Belle.

All my tension seemed to flow away with the River Belle's serene currents. As I pressed onwards, I slew many goblins. I soon saw a rainbow over a great waterfall.

Who could have known that I would fight the giant crab surrounded by such beauty!
"

The River Belle is a secret dungeon, unlocked after completing the game once. It's a remake of the dungeon from the original game with a poisonous gas covering the area and a boss fight with the Giant Crab at the end in the cave with a waterfall.
